Shelly also opens up about an ectopic pregnancy in a prior relationship, various miscarriages, and her IVF journey. Despite her strength, her pain is palpable as she is forced to not only relive it, but to seriously fear for others who may not be able to receive treatment in light of the Supreme Court’s ruling. It can be hard not to feel hopeless, but Shelly encourages everyone to continue doing what they can to support those with a uterus, such as advocating for paid leave, child care, and postpartum support.
