In this mini show I'm announcing the very exciting return of Dr Sohere Roked to the podcast. Her expertise on hormones is something many of you have emailed me about so she's returning for a second show to answer listener questions. If you want your question to be included email it by Tuesday 28th November 2017 to [email protected]
Demand for Sohere's return begs the question; who else would you like to come back for a second visit to the podcast? Tweet me @emmaguns and I'll work on it.
Equally if there's someone who you'd love to hear on the show who has never appeared then I'd love to know or there's a subject you'd love me to dig into that hasn't already been covered then tweet me @emmaguns and I'll do what I can to make it happen.
In this week's news I've been reading two books:
The Four Tendencies by Gretchen Rubin. It's excellent for not only understanding your own personality, but how to adapt to the other personality types around you. Highly recommended.
Tribe of Mentors by Tim Ferriss. Out this week, and sent to me as a gift by my fabulous friend Anita Bhagwandas, it's the ultimate 'dip-in, dip-out' read that can stop you in your tracks and make your day a whole lot better. It's a genius compilation of advice from high achievers that has the power to flip a mental switch and completely refocus you. Every home should have one.

Jo Hoare (@jojolizzy) is an author and journalist who joins me on the podcast to talk about her career on magazines, she was Style Editor of Heat for 11 years, and how she has transitioned into an author with seven titles in print and another on the way. We unpick her creative process and I ask her to share the details of her first fiction novel, which she is currently working on.
In this episode we discuss print and online journalism, whether it's okay to mine your own life for a commission how Jo developed her tone of voice (clue: she's dry AF) and how messy the creative process can be.

Bonus Episode:
Joining me on a special mid-week episode of the show it's Carlene Higgins and Jill Dunn from the fabulous podcast Breaking Beauty.
Like me, Carlene and Jill have a background in print journalism, but felt that the podcast was where it was at - and, of course, I agree! As they say in the tagline for their show, 'behind every bestselling beauty product, there's a damn good story,' and each week they put their journalistic hats on and take you behind a brand, trend or story from the beauty industry.
They kindly had me on their show and I was only too happy to reciprocate.
So here we are, on the phone via the internet so please bear with some of the audio issues, talking about knowing your worth (when others don't!), why it's important to diversify in a digital age and much much more...

Emily tells me the story of how she created Fashion Foie Gras, but also how she turned her passion for fashion into one of the most popular online fashion destinations around. In this episode we also discuss:

Lindsey Kelk (@lindseykelk) joins me on this episode of the podcast to talk about her I Heart... series, her podcast Full Coverage and her 'creative process'. We holed ourselves away in the Bobbi Brown Pro store in Soho to chat about how this Doncaster born-and-bred girl found herself living in LA, how she got her first book published and how that first book has turned into a 13, and counting, series.
We chat about finding your best girlfriends, pushing outside your comfort zone, how her 'what might have been' motivated her to move to New York and why it shouldn't be weird to talk about your creative process. There's a lot of talk about awkward teenage years and always knowing there was something bigger out there in the world and finding yourself and your tribe.
Lindsey and I met on twitter (@lindseykelk) where you can often find us wanging on about wrestling, beauty products and other important issues.

also in this episodeDr Dennis Gross Spectralite is coming to the UK soon. The superhero style mask emits amber, red, deep red and infrared wavelengths that gently stimulate collagen production, which reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in just a few minutes every day for several weeks.
I've developed a mild, scrap that, absolutely ridiculous obsession with Missoma jewellery. I saw some viewers asking Sam Chapman where her necklaces were from on an instagram live and she mentioned the brand so I found myself on their site having a mini-conniption about their earrings. If you're a regular listener you'll know I had three new piercings a few months ago and have been looking for hoops and studs that don't break the bank. Reader, I think I've found them. I'm crushing quite hard on the turquoise drop hoops and am incredibly keen to build up a wardrobe of the shield necklaces, oh, and the fang necklace. See, it's a problem. Take a look if you like gorgeous jewellery...
