Hey ADHDer and/or Mental Health Warrior!!
Today's episode is about so much more than ADHD... from mean brain, to mom brain, to using photography as a way to capture other people's brains... okay maybe not capture their brain, but capture their mental health journeys, today's guest talks about it all with us!
You may have heard Tayler on Episode 66 as she discussed Stigma Stops Now- a community group she runs with her friend Dakota Brown... but on today's episode she is sharing more on her own journey with depression and an anxiety disorder, how being a mom really messed with her brain, her failed epidural, and why it's important people talk more and more about their own mental health journey.
Make sure you check out this episode! And give Tayler a follow over on instagram: @justgingiesnaps

Hey ADHDer or Friend of an ADHDer!
Welcome to today's episode which is on sort of a sensitive topic for some people and that's addiction. Some key takeaways from today's episode:
ADHD and Addiction can go hand in hand- especially if you are undiagnosed for ADHD. The impulsivity, novelty-seeking, poor judgment and risk-taking traits overlap between ADHD and addiction. Also, since ADHD leads to lower self-esteem... well addiction can swoop in and fill the void there if your ADHD is not treated.
So what do you do to help prevent addiction in your life:
1) Treat your ADHD- therapy, exercise, medications... these are all things that help and yes your read and heard that right... MEDICATION can help an ADHDer from having addiction issues in life. (Listen for more information)
2) Parents- talk to your kids about their ADHD and help them own it... and then talk to them about substance abuse or other addiction sources (internet, food, shopping, gambling, etc.)
3) Remember to HALT every day: Avoid Hunger, Anger, Loneliness, and Tiredness
If you are struggling with addiction reach out to one of these resources for help:

TW: Addiction
Today's episode is a very vulnerable episode with guest Meredith Coviello-Felice. Meredith lost her husband after his battle with alcoholism in 2020. Today she is talking about life while loving someone with an addiction, life after losing him, and how she is taking back her story and helping other women do the same.
At the time we recorded this episode Meredith did not have any programs available but she did recently launch Healing Her First: a 4 week 1 to 1 program where she helps YOU feel empowered & supported while loving an addict.

2) How ADHD changed my view of my life and the world;
3) My thoughts on the ADHD label; and
4) My biggest LESSONS from this first year of having ADHD.

Hey ADHDer!
On today's episode we are putting the PERSONAL back into PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT.
When I first heard of personal development I thought that it meant I had to constantly be forcing myself to evolve in the same ways other people on Instagram where doing it. That meant I had to listen to the same podcasts and read the same books. Boy was I WRONG! Personal development isn't just about learning from others, it's about taking care of ourselves, learning from ourselves and our experiences and doing what makes us HAPPY!
So come along with me on this journey to change up how we approach personal development and let me know if you are vibing with this movement toward putting the personal back in personal development over on Instagram @thenbdpodcast.
