Something that has helped me over the course of my business journey is an idea that I first began experimenting with after the second month of starting my business. I've continued to use this idea in various shapes and forms in my business over the last seven years.
This idea is focusing on quantity over quality and how that can help you overcome perfectionism.
I know that for perfectionists focusing on quantity over quality is not going to sound appealing whatsoever. You want quality. You want perfection. Because you believe that if everything is perfect no one's going to judge you, no one's going to abandon you, no one's going to reject you and no one's going to shame you.
Listen to today's episode to learn how focusing on quantity over quality can help you overcome perfectionism and achieve your dreams and goals.

In this episode I want to talk about the most important thing every perfectionist needs to remember when building a business.
This might be something you're hearing about for the first time or maybe you're already familiar with this concept.
I'm going to be talking specifically about how this applies to a perfectionist who is building a business and how you can use it to work for you instead of against you.

I want to share my simple 3 step process for releasing your perfectionism handbrake and getting shit done called the PGSD Process.
The PGSD Process is being taught live inside Perfectionists Getting Shit Done starting on 31 May 2021. We're doing our first ever live round. If you're already a PGSDer you'll be able to join us but if not, now is the time to sign up because the doors to PGSD are closing at 11:59 pm EDT on 28 May.
The PGSD Process will give you all the structure and support you need to actually do all the things you know you need to do. Right now you know A LOT about personal development and business - you've been listening to podcasts, watching webinars etc - but your life doesn't reflect what you intellectually know.
If someone was to look at your life from the outside they'd see you procrastinating and scrolling through Instagram, they'd see you feeling overwhelmed with an endless to do list and always feeling behind, they'd see you jumping from one marketing strategy to the next and not having the clients or business you want to have.
The PGSD Process will help you put what you intellectually know into practice so you can start putting what you know into practice. Business isn't about how much potential you have, it's about what you do with your potential.
Sign up at samlaurabrown.com/pgsd before the doors close at 11:59 pm EDT on 28 May 2021.
In this episode I'm sharing the entire PGSD Process so you know exactly what it is and how it will help you release your perfectionism handbrake.

Today I want to share with you five reasons you always feel overwhelmed.
Overwhelm is something that I talk about on most of the episodes in some way, shape or form. But I realise that I haven't explicitly done an episode on overwhelm in quite a long time.
So today, I'm going to talk about why overwhelm is happening. It's so important that you understand the real reasons that you're feeling overwhelmed. Because that's what'll empower you to overcome overwhelm.
If you aren't actually looking at the real reasons you're feeling overwhelmed, and you just try different tactics and strategies to get yourself out of overwhelm, they'll probably work but only on a limited basis.
You'll always find yourself back in that state of overwhelm if you don't start addressing the real reasons you're feeling overwhelmed.
Tune into today's episode as I cover 5 reasons you always feel overwhelmed.

I didn't always know I had a perfectionist mindset. It only really started being a problem for me when I started my business.
I just remember that I was so scared of being laughed at and I needed everything to be perfect. But I never thought I was a perfectionist because I was procrastinating too much, I was getting in my own way and I wasn't perfect enough to be a perfectionist.
Over the following years, I did the work to figure out what this mindset is and now I'm so passionate about sharing my journey with perfectionism and what I've learned about it.
Tune into today's episode as I share with you what I wish I'd known about perfectionism sooner.

Today I want to share with you my personal growth update for March 2021.
I'm going to be sharing a couple of things that I've been getting coached on myself and journaling on a lot. I hope that it really helps you to hear a bit about what's going on behind the scenes in my business.
These episodes that I do monthly are really an opportunity for you to get a sense for how quickly things move or how slowly they move and the ups and downs that I experience. It can be very challenging to summarise the whole month. But I want to do my best so that you can really get a sense for that and hopefully to normalise some of the experiences you're having on your own journey.
I hope that these monthly episodes help you feel like you're having a normal experience and nothing's gone wrong because you have fear or doubt.
Tune into today's episode to listen as I reflect on my personal growth for March 2021.
