This isn’t medical advice — always talk to your doctor before making any health decisions.
What happens when one half of a couple goes on a GLP-1, and the other half hops in for the ride?
In this episode, we’re chatting with another couple doing it together, treating their obesity with a GLP-1. You could call them a “GLP-1 household." Libby and Greg, both patients of Ro, talk to us about life going from "Food-Obsessed Couple" to "People Who Actually Have Leftovers."
We’re getting into the nitty-gritty of the "Dual-GLP-1" lifestyle, including:
"Coming Out" Story: How to tell your spouse you’re starting a GLP-1.
The Relationship "Side Effects": Dealing with the "comparison trap," supporting each other through the side effects, and how a boost in confidence changes relationship dynamics.
Household Changes: From challenging the way they talk about "good vs. bad" food to showing up for their kids without the food noise.
This episode is a raw, funny, and medically-backed look at how a simple injection can create a massive ripple effect in a marriage

This isn’t medical advice — always talk to your doctor before making any health decisions.
In this episode, we sit down with Hannah, a featured member of Ro’s Healthier with Ro campaign and the focus of Ro’s new documentary on her weight loss and health journey. Hannah joins the show to go beyond a transformation story and dig into the deeper realities of obesity as a chronic disease, GLP-1 treatment, and what lasting change actually feels like.
Hannah shares her experience navigating weight stigma and shame, becoming a runner in a bigger body, and using GLP-1 medication as part of her care. For the first time in her life, she is living in a smaller body, without ever having had a “skinny Hannah” before. She reflects on how that shift has impacted her identity, mental health, and sense of self, including the emotional work that comes with a body changing faster than the mind.
This conversation offers a real-world look at GLP-1 weight loss, body image, and mental health, exploring who we become when our bodies change and how we learn to live in that new reality.

This isn’t medical advice — always talk to your doctor before making any health decisions.
Listener note: This episode includes candid discussion about sexual health and intimacy. Private listening is recommended if children are nearby.
For many women in their late 30s, 40s, and 50s, treating metabolic dysfunction with a GLP-1 is only part of the story. Labs may improve. Weight may shift. But sleep changes. Mood feels different. Body composition moves in unfamiliar ways. Libido quietly declines.
Perimenopause and menopause often unfold alongside metabolic treatment, and the hormonal transition can complicate everything.
In this episode, we connect midlife hormone changes with metabolic health. Dr. Cathleen “Dr. Cat” Brown, board-certified OB/GYN and Medical Director at Winona, joins us along with Kelly Miller, Winona Patient Ambassador, to discuss what’s happening during perimenopause and menopause, why hormone replacement therapy is back in the conversation, and what changed after the black box warning.
We also speak candidly about sexual health in midlife, an area that rarely gets the honesty it deserves.
For women navigating GLP-1 treatment or broader obesity care, this conversation widens the lens. Hormones matter. Context matters. And stigma around menopause deserves the same challenge as stigma around obesity.
As always, this episode is for educational purposes only and is not medical advice.

In an industry that rarely shifts quickly—especially for those with obesity, facing stigma and barriers—so much has changed in just three years. How did we see GLP-1 prices drop, and how did we break stigma? We did it together—through community, social media, and podcasts. This episode is my piece of that story. The GLP-1 Holistic Podcast invited me to share how my personal journey evolved into leading a movement. If you’ve ever wondered how we got here—this is how.

What happens after weight loss, when biology pushes back and maintenance becomes the hardest part?
In this episode of The Plus SideZ Podcast, we explore weight loss maintenance on GLP-1s through the lived experience of Ro patient and fitness instructor CeCe, who lost over 100 pounds through diet and exercise before turning to a GLP-1 to help sustain her progress. CeCe shares what it’s like navigating hunger, identity, and bias in the fitness industry while living in a changing body, and why weight maintenance often requires more than willpower alone.
Ro Chief Medical Officer Dr. Melynda Barnes joins the conversation to ground CeCe’s experience in science, explaining obesity as a chronic metabolic disease, how GLP-1 medications support long-term weight maintenance, and why movement and nutrition matter regardless of body size. Together, they unpack the impact of weight stigma in healthcare and fitness spaces, and what compassionate, evidence-based obesity care should actually look like.
This episode is for anyone questioning why keeping weight off is so difficult, feeling judged for their body while prioritizing health, or seeking a clearer, stigma-free understanding of GLP-1s and long-term care.

This isn’t medical advice — always talk to your doctor before making any health decisions.
“What do I eat in a day?” is one of the most common and most searched questions people ask when starting a GLP-1. In this episode, we’re joined by Ana Reisdorf, MS, RD, registered dietitian and host of the GLP1 Hub Podcast, to explore how nutrition support fits into GLP-1 treatment in the real world. We talk through Ana’s lived experience with weight, the difference between dietitians and nutritionists, and why many patients are left without practical guidance once a prescription is written.
The conversation focuses on the growing gap between physician time constraints and patient needs, and how dietitians who understand and support GLP-1s are uniquely positioned to bridge it. We break down macros in accessible terms, discuss nutritional balance beyond protein, and examine how resting metabolic rate, sleep, appetite regulation, and tracking all influence daily intake, especially for those with a history of food or body trauma. This episode highlights why GLP-1-informed dietitians may play a central role in the future of sustainable, patient-centered obesity care.

In this episode, we break down the latest GLP-1 news around policy and legal developments impacting access to compounded GLP-1 medications in the United States.
We’re joined by special news correspondents Sabina Henn, an obesity advocate from GLPWinner.com, and Maria Rising, a GLP-1 reporter on TikTok and obesity advocate. Both are deeply involved in obesity care advocacy and work on and off the internet to protect patient access to treatment.
We begin with the broader national strategy shaping current GLP-1 policy, then walk through key federal and state actions, including the SAFE Drug Act (SR 6509), Indiana SB 282, and Florida SB 860 / HB 877. We explain how these bills could restrict access to compounded GLP-1 medications and why that poses a serious problem for patients who cannot take brand-name drugs or cannot afford them due to lack of insurance coverage and high costs.
We also cover the ongoing lawsuits between GLP-1 drug manufacturers and compounding pharmacies, including the Strive lawsuit, and examine the use of racketeering claims as a legal strategy. Throughout the episode, we focus on the real-world impact of these actions and how they could affect millions of patients relying on compounded GLP-1 medications for obesity and metabolic disease care.
We close with clear ways listeners can stay informed, engage, and help protect access to care.
