Those of us who were raised to believe that “life is serious” and “fun comes after work” the idea of playing might feel frivolous.

But did you know that playing is good for you? Play originates in the right hemisphere of the brain, connects you to your creativity, alleviates stress, and increases your sense of wellbeing.

Play is sacred, play is divine, play is a gift, and that which feels like play is the divine working through you.

Might it be time to take a break? To surrender to the divine, to flow, and to allowing yourself to create and experience fun? After all, it is summer, and the long, hot days of summer are perfect for allowing yourself time to play!

I did this Summer Fun Meditation that reconnects you to the power of play and to the feelings of freedom, joy, and summertime fun that you had as a kid!
