I’m sharing the two best, and least used, relationship tools I know.
We didn’t get a class on this, so most of us are winging it. And no, I’m not teaching voodoo Jedi mind tricks to change your partner.
This is about making it easier to be in relationship with you.
The first tool is validating your partner’s experience, even when it’s different from yours. That builds trust and safety. Validation is not agreement. It’s simply, “I can see how you’d see it that way.”
The second tool is taking 100% accountability for your thoughts, feelings, and actions. That’s where your power lives. As I say in the episode, “I almost got a tattoo that said, ‘It’s all me.’”
Use these two tools and you’ll feel the shift, starting with you.
