There is always a new diet circulating and they always get a lot of engagement. What makes the sugar diet unique is that it challenges the mainstream idea that sugar consumption causes weight gain. What the mainstream doesn't tell you is that fatty acids and glucose compete for absorption, so consuming lower fats while consuming a lot of carbohydrates with adequate protein will actually increase the metabolic rate and turn you into a "fat burner" like the keto people talk about.
