    EP99 - Losing 150lbs with calorie counting - Amy's journey
Today I welcome the amazing Amy from County Meath in Ireland to share her calorie counting success story and transformation.
Amy's weight loss journey started in September 2022 and in a short time she lost an incredible 150 pounds, showing the transformative power of commitment and mindset.
Struggling with weight since childhood, she tried countless diets with no lasting success until meeting her husband, which sparked her determination for change when they became engaged. Opting for calorie counting, portion control, and eliminating triggering foods, Amy embarked on her path to wellness.
Through logging meals, establishing eating boundaries, and prioritising healthier choices, she navigated challenges, including plateaus and weight fluctuations. The journey wasn't just about shedding pounds though; it revitalised her relationships as well as boosting her confidence and energy.
Amy underscores the significance of mindset and cultivating sustainable habits for lasting results. Her story resonates with the reality that setbacks are normal, yet perseverance pays off. Amy's advice echoes the importance of setting goals and envisioning one's ideal self as powerful motivators.

  • Change, Accept or both - Coaching Special Part 1 - Change
    EP98 - Change, Accept or both - Part 1/3
Each month I like to record an episode that offers some insight from a coaching perspective to help people with the mindset approach to weight loss. This episode is part 1 of 3, exploring the sometimes uncomfortable truth that to lose weight successfully, change is needed.
This episode is also somewhat of a tribute to a friend I lost recently. George Gilbey was known by many in the UK for appearing on Gogglebox with his mum and stepdad Linda and Pete, as well as reaching the final of Celebrity Big Brother. To me, he was a school mate who during my teens and early adulthood was a massive part of my life. His recent passing has stirred up a number of emotions for me including the harsh truth that our time on this earth is limited.
Today, I want to challenge you to be courageous at looking why you haven't been successful in past attempts to lose weight or become healthier, and use those experiences as lessons to help you achieve your goals in the future.
I realise weight loss can be hard with so many unhelpful habits likely to be engrained into your daily routine, and I hope this episode provokes some thinking to what is possible if you are willing to become comfortable with the uncomfortable journey of change.
The best part about this journey is that you are NOT ALONE. As I explain in the episode, I would like to offer each of you a completely free opportunity for us to have a chat in which I will listen to where you struggle and offer my ideas and suggestions to begin on the right path to success. For some of you, my 12 week coaching program may be the perfect next step, for others no. Either way, I will do my absolute best to support you and help get you started during your free coaching call.
To get more details, simply send an email to [email protected] or DM me on my instagram @weightlosswarriorpodcast
Rest easy George, your friendship over the years and has given me a lifetime of laughs and great memories. We will all miss you.

  • Sharon's incredible Keto weight loss journey
EP95: Discovering a healthier life - Sharon's weight loss journey
Today I am joined by special guest Sharon from London, Ontario in Canada.
The episode is focused on how Sharon overcame a lifestyle of overeating, poor habits and an emotional relationship with food. I hear how since childhood there had been a struggle to make healthy choices and not until into her late 30s Sharon decided to change the trajectory of her life.
We talk about the impact of being overweight and how social events were triggering and difficult to go to, often resulting in a stop at a local store on the way home to pick up a pack of donuts.
Then, once the decision to lose weight was made and Sharon joined Weight Watchers, she lost more than 100lbs in a year! This was an amazing achievement and a dream come true, however unfortunately quite short-lived for Sharon.
In 2016, Sharon suffered a heart attack that not only impacted her day to day life during her recovery and beyond, but during this time the weight that had been lost returned.
Listen to how Sharon refused to give up and focused her attention to following the Keto method of eating in which her intake of carbs was restricted to 20 grams per day. This was a pivotal moment for Sharon and was the beginning of the success she enjoys today.
I want to give a special thanks to Sharon for being our latest Weight Loss Warrior and encourage you all to follow her Instagram account where she shares a lot of valuable information about her journey and the Keto diet.
