Yasmin Shaheen-Zaffar is a qualified counsellor registered with the BACP in the U.K., and creator of Polyvagal Teen.®. She is on a mission to support generations of families and teenagers to become Polyvagal Aware.

 

After struggling with dyslexia and ADHD, Yasmin found the books and resources around polyvagal theory almost impossible to understand. This made her learning difficult. She then tried to teach Polyvagal Theory to her teen - that didn't go down well! It was then that she was inspired to create Polyvagal Teen - making Polyvagal Theory more accessible to teenagers, families and caregivers. 

 

Since then, Yasmin has personally and professionally witnessed the transformations that take place when people get to know and understand their nervous systems.
