The Sugar Cookie Marketing Facebook Group Podcast is back and better than ever! Kidding - it's exactly the same + Gregiracle.
Here's what we're covering this week:
In the Marketing Minutes, Heather talks about diversification in marketing strategies which is just a fancy way of sayin' "don't put all of your marketing eggs in one basket, yo." From Facebook pages to websites - the more places you can reach your clients, the more times you can reach them.
In the Business of Baking, Corrie mentioned a past reputation management client we had - a pizza place turned international internet scandal when his good-deed-gone-bad backfired majorly.
We'll be launching the SCM Course in August, andwe'll have a series on SEO - that internet buzzword we're all scared of not truly knowing what it means. Search engine optimization is neat though and understanding the fundamentals can help us help our bottom line.
In Voicemails, overhead in baking, Instagram strategies, and a love letter on kindness in the cookie world.
In Group Stuff, we have a few fun things coming up:
Our first Podcast Sponsors are Eddie the Printer-Whose-Price-is-about-to-Rise and BaketyBakes where you can get a group special of 10% off meringue powder with promo code TWINS - https://baketybakeidaho.com/

This Sugar Cookie Marketing Facebook Group Podcast featured Casper himself while Corrie babysits adults (kidding - it was a rough 'sode).
Here's what we're covering this week:
In the Marketing Minutes, Heather covers why our brains LOVE the four-letter word of budgeting - FREE. Nothing is free - but why do we get a brain signal that FREE is life and life is FREE (hint: it's not).
In the Business of Baking, Corrie recounts two sales this week in which sticking to her price stuck her left on read - but she wouldn't change a thing for some extra change.
We'll be launching the SCM Course in August, but until then - a quick breakdown (bakedown?) of what the course will cover - this week: Google Calendar tips Heather LOVES.
In Voicemails, we cover texts about expensive cars, fancy Macs, and Instagram dead weight.

In Group Stuff, we have a few fun things coming up:

The Sugar Cookie Marketing Facebook Group's Podcast is back for Season TWO - yes you read that right. It felt like it was time to roll over to a new season. Why? No reason at all.
Here's what we're covering this week:
In the Marketing Minutes, we introduce a new group challenge starting Thursday. Instagram has announced that Instagram Reels will be the new "thing" when it comes to reach on the once-photography-based platform because of the market share it's hemorrhaging to TikTok. As good marketers, we'll be creating content for BOTH platforms - 30 videos in 30 days. Plus - we'll tell you how we recommend you use the TikTok trends to reach your target audience.
In the Business of Baking, Heather talks about the "halo effect" - a brain mind game we can help but fall for. It's the reason tall people are seen as successful, attractive waitstaff is paid more, and the reason we think the lady with the color-matched Range Rover is probably a good mom.
In Voicemails, we cover a SIX minute-long pocket dial & what to do when you're relocated.
In Group Stuff, we have a few fun things coming up:
And hello to our Podcast Sponsor is the famed Eddie, Edible Printer you can purchase from Primera. The price on this bad boy is going up to mirror the increase in production costs - so if you're on the fence, now would be the time to buy.
And welcome to our new Podcast Sponsor - Bakety Bakes in Idaho!

Here's what we're covering this week:
In the Marketing Minutes, Corrie wanted to talk about maximizing workflow on the 'Grams to increase engagement. Hey - marketing is maximizing reach, and there's a lot of tips and tricks to do it on Instagram.
In the Business of Baking, Corrie (chatty Cathy today, isn't she) wanted to talk about the "Dos and Do Nots" of photography spending some extra time on prop mistakes we find ourselves making.

In Group Stuff, we have a few fun things coming up:
In Twinterests, Corrie got a Bowdubruh (Bow-Dabra lol) after watching Frescia's Live on packaging and Heather promised she'd do a live on bed leveling the Ender 3Pro WHICH SHE DID.
Our Podcast Sponsor is the famed Eddie, Edible Printer you can purchase from Primera. We tackled ink bleed by desaturating the colors to lighter versions. We'll post pics of the purple cow set we've got due this week (pray for us).

Hey - Sickly Corrie and Heather here with this week's Baking it Down Podcast a la Sugar Cookie Marketing Facebook Group! In this podcast, we talk about best business practices, client communication, & random things Corrie does that annoy Heather.
Here's what we're covering this week:
In the Marketing Minutes, Heather covers a portion of the book she's been reading: Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less. The book focuses on optimizing your life by saying no to a lot of things that detract and distract leaving you to do what you're truly best at. As such, the book requires a lot of "no's" and gives us eight great ways to let someone down nice 'n easy.
In the Business of Baking, Corrie recounts how she turned off a client who was turning on a vehicle the wrong way. The client wasn't educated, but by not taking the time to educate them, Corrie made them feel polarized which lost her the sale. So - spend the extra few minutes educating clients, but hey - most of us don't have a clue over here in "I want it, I got it" land. Bezos has truly ruined us.
In Voicemails, we have someone who is graduating up to "business owner with employees" which is also a tough switch-a-roo. We also have someone battling with "rush fees" - what to call them, how to handle them. After that, how do you market to businesses? Discounts? And finally - what have we learned from the group. Hint: Corrie has learned nothing.
In Group Stuff, we have a few fun things coming up:
In Twinterests, Corrie goes through three Amazon Prime Day deals she loved, and Heather is becoming Bob Ross with Art with Flo - a Procreate Youtube channel with free drawing lessons.
Our Podcast Sponsor is the famed Eddie, Edible Printer you can purchase from Primera. We tackled ink bleed by desaturating the colors to lighter versions. We'll post pics of the purple cow set we've got due this week (pray for us).
Finally - the Mail Bag! We actually got mail in our mailbag today. Debbie Chrisnell of Debbie’s Cookie Creations LLC sent us the cuuuutest heat sealer platform that was 3D printed and I am obsessed. I gotta take a picture of it this week and post it to the group. Definitely going to use it this week because tonight I gotta do 4 dozen cookies for thursday.

The Disney magic has done a bippity boppity boop on our wallet, and the Sugar Cookie Marketing Group twins are back in the office on Episode 17 to talk about sale psychology at the Magic Kingdom.
Here's what we're covering this week:
It's no surprise that going to Disney takes some magic and some money, but how does Mickey Mouse trick us into spending more than we ever thought fathomable in the name of "when in Disney!" This week, Corrie and Heather cover some of the top Disney psychology tactics designed to get you to spend more money while spending longer in line.
Next, in Voicemails, we cover our favorite playlists (hint: don't cross Corrie), why is there such a long line to get into the group, and how to correctly fire a difficult client.
Group Stuff. We have some cool lives coming up, a logo cookie collab and the first ever Sugar Cookie Marketing In-Peron Meet-up!

Heyo! It's the Sugar Cookie Marketing Group twins on episode 15 of a seemingly never-ending season 1 of the Baking it Down Podcast. If you're new here, welcome - we're a group of bakers here to buff up that bottom line.
Here's what we're covering this week:
In The Marketing Minutes, Corrie talks about leading the online conversation with clients consolidating as many "steps" in your funnel into a single message. This leads the conversation, gets you answers faster, and keeping potential leads from falling out of your funnel.
In The Business of Baking, Heather talks about reframing. We look at our lives through a unique perspective of our past experiences - however, that can lead to business no-no's like being defensive or coming across as harsh or callused. Learn to REFRAME!
Next, in Voicemails, we have four voicemails this week - how do you announce a short break without giving out all the details? Do you pay yourself hourly or salary?
Group Stuff. Want to do a Facebook live in the group? Sign up! Just message the Sugar Cookie Marketing page to
Podcast Mail Bag - Totally forgot about this AGAIN! Why am I the way I am?
And almost lastly - whatever I find interesting (twinteresting):
Finally Sponsors.
