From a trauma perspective, feeling shame when you yourself didn't do anything wrong it's often the internalized harm of another.

As such, when we feel shame for our intersecting privileges at the end of the world — we're often the internalizing the shame of a harmful system. A system we didn't create. A system that doesn't represent us.

Yes, we all have to untangle our allegiances to systems of harm.

But also?

We have to untangle the belief that as individuals, the harm of the system is all our fault.

Today's episode is for you if you struggle with that. If you tend to over-hold systemic inequity, take responsibility for the whole wide world.

On Tuesday, my OBM Steph & I got onto our regular weekly meeting and… we just couldn't do it. We couldn't go on with business as usual while the people of Gaza are forced to starve to death.

Together, we decided:

We're pushing back our launch calendar and putting all our devotion into organizing a Coaching Industry Global Strike & Day of Action.

Next Friday, 8/8 (yes, the glorious, manifesty Lion's Gate), we will be making the most important declaration of all:

Palestine deserves to be free. End the siege & genocide. Let Gaza live.

We're inviting anyone in the coaching industry (or online education, priestess work, therapy, counseling, etc) who cannot stand to witness what's happening to join us in canceling business as usual – and show up for this Day of Action.

Together, we will:

• Pray to our ancestors for strength and courage

• Call & write our respective government officials

• Listen to Jewish & Palestinian voices calling for liberation

• Donate to mutual aid, if able

• Participate in a writing ritual to voice what we're seeing and call others into devotional action
