James R. Fleckenstein is a sexuality and relationships researcher, educator, author and coach with over twenty years of experience helping people improve their intimate relationships. Jim's expertise has been recognized by invitations to present at 13 major sexuality/relationship therapy and research professional conferences since 2002. He's also reached hundreds at over 20 lay conferences. He specializes in non-monogamy.
His relationship research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and included as academic book chapters. Jim's most recent publication appeared in The Archives of Sexual Behavior. He's been interviewed by the Chicago Tribune and the Guardian, been a featured guest on radio and podcasts, and quoted in web publications like Best Life and The Zoe Report. His book, Love That Works: 38 Awesome Hacks for Amazing Relationships, debuted in December, 2019. The companion workbook, Navigating the Heart: Daily Steps for Courageous Relationship Growth, came out in 2022.
