He particularly strives to understand how to optimise aerobic adaptations both in the context of health and high performance. Currently Elias is embarking on a PhD project investigating the optimisation of return from high-altitude to sea level in endurance athletes. Elias has tested and coached individuals ranging from olympic medallists to those suffering from metabolic syndrome.
