Most people work backward, they “work” from where they are to where they want to be. It makes sense but it’s a strategy that keeps people trapped where they are in life.
In today’s episode, the first thing that Kathy needs to identify specifically what “Point B” is for her. You’ve heard the old phrase, “If you don’t know where you are going in life, how will you know when you get there?” The clarity of the path is vital. Without clarity about where you want to go, you’ll most likely flounder throughout life.
Next, in this episode, I talk about “Working FROM Point B instead of working TO Point B.” This one simple distinction is what causes people to spin their wheels for years. When you “work from” where you are you just keep repeating where you are in life.
In this episode I talk about:
[2:44] Other aspects of Kathy’s question which keep her trapped
[4:54] The fear that exists between Point A and Point B
[6:50] Speaking your existence from positives instead of negatives
[8:22] Why you have to give up what you have to get what you want
[16:31] The difference between thinking from possibility and resignation
And finally, why it’s so vital that you work “From Point B instead of to Point B.” It’s a subtle but huge distinction.
