Heartbreak to Happiness

How Do Men Cope with Divorce? Is it True That Divorce is More Difficult for Men than Women?

Joe Horton is the founder of the Guild of Dads Movement and Podcast of the same name, a business owner and Dad of two girls.

Weekly he interviews some of the world’s most inspirational Dads including bestselling authors, professors, explorers, servicemen and entrepreneurs on his podcast. He also speaks to guests covering all facets of Dads lives including relationships, mental health, physical health and how Dads can contribute to the world around them. The idea is to give Dads all the tools and resources to dramatically improve their lives, what life has in store for them and the possibilities awaiting them.

He has a thriving community of Dads over on his own Facebook page and has recently launched “The Dads Circle” which is an exclusive brotherhood of Dads committed to levelling up across all aspects of their lives and becoming the Men and Dads they were meant to be surrounded by other Dads on the same journey.

Joe’s own journey started when he lost his own Dad in 2015 which forced him to really reflect on what life meant for him and how he wanted to leave his mark on the world. By creating a Vision for his future Joe began to find life much more meaningful which is why he started Guild of Dads – as a resource and community for other Dads experiencing the same thing as he did.

Much of Joe’s belief is around meaning being central to the lives of Men and Dads and how lack of it is having a catastrophic effect on men’s lives and that of their families. This is why the tagline for Guild of Dads is what Joe calls the “Meaning Equation” Vision + Action = Meaning.

Joe helps other Dads to cultivate a Vision for their future on which they can start their own journey towards meaning.
