The fate of Texas teen Karmelo Anthony will soon be in the hands of a jury, as he stands accused of murdering 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a high school track meet last year. Anthony’s defense team rested earlier today after calling just 5 witnesses. There was an unexplained two hour delay leading up to the announcement, many legal experts believe Anthony may have been weighing whether or not to testify in his own defense.

New York Knicks fans are outraged the city’s planned celebrations for tonight’s game are being upended because President Trump plans to attend. The city announcing it won’t allow a watch party outside of Madison Square Garden for game 3 of the NBA finals tonight. In fact, even fans with tickets will be forced into TSA like security protocols with a strict NO bag policy going into the Garden. Fan reaction on social media is spicy, saying Trump is ruining the vibes for a city that’s waited 27 years to host an NBA finals game. We can already hear the booing in the arena now….

One of the prison guards responsible for inmates on the night of Jeffrey Epstein’s death, and the last person known to see him alive, testified before Congress, and the transcripts have just been released. Tova Noel told lawmakers what she knows about that night, including why she falsified records during her shift, what she was searching for on the internet and where those deposits of money came from leading up to Epstein’s death. Noel also talks about the mysterious orange blob seen in surveillance video near Epstein’s cell that is creating even more mystery around the footage. Finally, Noel has a plea to the public as she describes constant harassment, conspiracy theories and even death threats for her role that night.

It was a busy week one of the trial against the Texas teen accused of murdering another teen at a track meet last year. The prosecution called a total of 21 witnesses to the stand, resting their case against Karmelo Anthony Saturday afternoon. Jurors heard from coaches and other students who were in the tent at the time of the stabbing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf. The defense ended the Saturday court session by calling its first witness to the stand.

The 20-year-old Auburn student who was last seen walking towards hiking trails in Japan, was found dead on Saturday in a mountainous area outside of Kyoto. The parents of Weston Higginbotham made the tragic announcement after asking for the public’s help in finding their son. The family said Weston took off on his own, after a disagreement during the family trip to Japan to celebrate his younger brother’s high school graduation.
