Laos officials believe the 7 villagers trapped in a cave while searching for gold are still alive, as day 7 of rescue operations continue despite torrential rain in the area. This week, members of the same team that rescued the 12 members of a soccer team and their coach back in 2018 arrived to assist in the efforts. Rescuers describe the thousand foot tunnel they are trying to access as less than 2 feet wide in some areas.

As many of us travel home from the Memorial Day Weekend, some of us will be flying, and with that comes rude passenger behavior. But one young flyer just went viral on Tik Tok for defending her behavior that many deemed selfish and rude: eating homemade garlic chicken thighs on a recent flight. We have our thoughts, and discuss some of the other, most complained about airplane antics. Happy flying everyone!

One of the stars of this weekend’s BottleRock festival isn’t a singer, rocker or band member, instead it’s award winning television writer, producer, host and self proclaimed foodie, Phil Rosenthal. Perhaps best known for creating the hit CBS sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond”, Rosenthal now has a cult following for his Netflix travel and food series, “Somebody Feed Phil”. Rosenthal explains what he’s doing on stage at a music festival and how after 10 years of rejection from Hollywood, he’s found his second career bringing the world, its food and its customs to viewers, building bridges, not walls around our borders.

Friends of the couple say Karen had been defrauded by a person posing as Tom Selleck who had scammed her out of at least $30,000 over the past year. Detectives say there is no evidence the unknown scammer was involved in the couples’ deaths, but the stress of the fraud may have been the tipping point for the couple.

We had the honor of sitting down with famed Chef Kathy Fang, who grew up under the tutelage of her renowned father, Chef Peter Fang, to talk about her family’s landmark restaurants “House of Nanking” and “Fang Restaurant.” Watching her parents work 7 days a week, 365 days a year to build their legendary family business drove Chef Kathy to the success she is today: a two time “Chopped” champion and a recent James Beard nominee. After getting to personally taste her award winning culinary skills, we still don’t understand how her hubby of 10 years prefers McDonald’s and spam dishes. If you’re ever in San Francisco, you need to add Fang’s restaurants to your itinerary to experience her food for yourself!
