In today's episode of WorkParty I’m talking with Candace Nelson, Los Angeles-based food entrepreneur, accomplished pastry chef known for co-founding Sprinkles, and co-owner of her newest venture Pizzana, a Michelin Bib Gourmand Neo-Neapolitan pizzeria with three locations sprinkled throughout LA. 

When Candance isn’t working her magic in the kitchen, she's also an amazing author of the New York Times Best Seller “The Sprinkles Baking Book,” an executive producer of and judge on Netflix’s “Sugar Rush,” and host of her own podcast “Live to Eat.” She has a new book that is coming out in November called Sweet Success, which is a book for entrepreneurs inspired by her journey that showcases how to turn your passion into a business.

Fueled by her passion for supporting other entrepreneurs, Candance also co-founded CN2 Ventures which invests in early-stage and growth-stage startups in the retail, food, direct-to-consumer, and branded consumer product sectors, harnessing her knack for elevating simple concepts into breakthrough brands.

Prior to founding Sprinkles, Candance pursued a career in investment banking but shifted gears to follow her passion and attend pastry school. Her love for approachable, nostalgic food drives her business endeavors, and her admiration of contemporary art influences her branding philosophy.
