Something new and different on the podcast and this Coaches Couch episode today which we hope you get value from in regards to your own coaching and space holding skills. Host Julie Parker shares a client experience - one that involves the client feeling distressed. Julie shares her initial reactions to the clients distressed feelings and eventual path of response NOT being what the client initially requested, but something else entirely. Julie explains the ‘why’ behind that decision and what happens afterwards which opens up a story and journey of empowerment for the client from Julie doing very little to almost ‘nothing’ in response to the client’s initial distress.
Today’s success story on the podcast is such an interesting one. The amazing Eleanor Hadley began her coaching journey as a sensuality and feminine embodiment coach and over the years as she has become braver and bolder in her own expression, is now sitting at the cutting edge of sexuality and sex education supporting people to prioritise their pleasure and enhance their relationships. Along the way she has experienced considerable censorship of her work on social media, but has persisted in her mission to make sex and pleasure a fun and expressive part of people’s lives - creating a thriving and successful business as she has done so.

Thank you to Vanessa Novissimo Wright for asking for some ideas on this question today…”As a new-ish coach, I find myself looking at all the THINGS I could be doing - from the back end stuff to social media to launching, etc. but the truth is, it’s just me. I also have another job that I love. So, what are some ways to help focus on what is truly important (the coaching and the helping people) while also slowly growing a business?”
Julie shares in response her five best things to focus on as a new coach which cover areas from online presence, to relationships and and craft of coaching. May they give you some incredible ideas on what to focus on right now.

Not every interaction, conversation or session we have with our clients will be smooth and issue free. We of course may like it to be, but when it comes to human interaction and our imperfect ways of connecting and relating - challenging moments will naturally arise from time to time. Our guest today is a highly skilled and experienced coach - Kemi Nekvapil - and we couldn’t think of someone more wonderful or apt to guide us through such challenging times where both we as the coach - and our clients - can experience positive outcomes from challenging engagements.
