  • Ep160. The Missing Link In Your Videos. Angus Pyke
In todays episode I’m talking about the missing link in most of your videos.  This missing link has a huge impact on the reach, engagement and impact of your video (disproportionately huge!).
You can have made a fabulous video with really wonderful and helpful content, but if you’re missing this important part, firstly , you’re less likely to be stopping people as they scroll through social media and secondly if they do start to watch your video , they’re less likely to get to the end.
Want to know what the missing link is?
Listen in now and I’ll reveal all. LOL
    Thanks for all you do.
    Keep saving lives.

  • Ep159. What I learnt from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. Angus Pyke
I recently purchased a subscription to Masterclass.  You might have heard of it before.  It’s the online learning platform where world class experts teach you…Steph Curry teaches you basketball, Serena Williams teaches you tennis etc.
Last Sunday morning whilst lying in bed my wife and I decided to let Gordon Ramsay teach us cooking.  Before he began his cooking class, Gordon gave a brief synopsis of his life and the journey he’s taken that’s led to him becoming one of the most celebrated chefs in the world.
As he was sharing, something remarkable became evident and in this episode I talk all about it.
    Listen now.
    I hope you enjoy.
Thanks for all you do. Keep saving lives.

  • Ep158. How To Get More Patients By Leveraging Reviews. Brian Greenberg
My guest on the show today is Brian Greenberg, he’s the author of The Salesman Who Doesn’t Sell.  He’s generated over $50million dollars in revenue from his businesses and has over 10000 reviews and testimonials from happy customers.
On the show today we’re talking all about the power of reviews.
You’ll learn how to collect more 5 star reviews, we talk about the right and wrong way to get a review.  Brian shares the ingredients of great review ( I was surprised by this).
We also talked about the biggest mistake businesses make with their reviews and of course we discussed what to do when you get a bad review…I loved Brians system for dealing with negative reviews.
Reviews should be a huge part of your marketing arsenal.  More and more potential patients are looking at reviews  before going to your website and before making an appointment.
In todays episode you’ll learn how to leverage the power of reviews.
    Enjoy the show.

Dr. Tony truly runs and operates his dream practice (one of the largest pediatric practices in the county) or what he also now terms “the practice of the future” for chiropractic.
Partnering with Dr. David Jackson, Dr. Tony co-created the first ever online pediatric training program, Epic Pediatrics. He again joined with Dr. Jackson and his incredible practice-building and training program, Epic Accelerators, as an Epic Coach. Having himself benefited tremendously from his 3 years as an Epic Accelerator Client, it was time for him to simply turn around and “lend a hand up” to as many chiropractors as possible in this area as well.
Tony's amazing wife Kristina keeps his craziness in check, three incredibly beautiful and gifted daughters Addison, Alaina, and Emilia, and an amazing little boy Oliver who himself went through “the perfect storm” spending 6 weeks in the NICU with a very grave prognosis of seizures and severe neurological damage and delays, only to come through that with zero seizures or developmental delays thanks to the early application of Pediatric Chiropractic. He is a health and wellness “junkie” who loves CrossFit, reading and learning, spending time with his family, and sports.

  • Ep155. What No One Tells You About Marketing! Angus Pyke
In todays episode I share with you what no one (including me) is telling you about marketing.
You’d be forgiven for thinking that marketing your practice is a simple as making a video or running a Facebook ad and then just sitting back and watching the new patients role in.
Sadly in the vast majority of cases your marketing will fail...don’t worry though, the same is true for big companies like Coca Cola, Nike and even MacDonalds.
However, to succeed even in the face of these failures big companies have 2 important systems.
In todays episode I’ll share what these systems are how you can implement them into your practice to improve your marketing strike rate.
    Enjoy the show.
    Thanks for all you do.

P.S In this episode I’ll also share an embarrassing story about me getting dog poo all over my hand..yep all over it. Disgusting!

  • Ep154. Is Your Body Language Pushing Clients Away? Louise Mahler
Did you know that research shows that non verbal skills carry over 4 times the weight of words?  What this means is that we can be saying all the right things but our body/posture and gestures  can be projecting a completely different message.
    Amazing…right!!
I’ll be the first to admit that I put a lot of effort into my words but I almost never think about the silent but powerful messages by body language is sharing.
My guest today is Dr Louise Mahler and she’s an expert in body language, voice and emotion.  She has a PhD in business, and degrees and masters in organisational psychology as well as music.
In today’s episode Louise pulls back the curtains and shares with us how to make sure our non verbal communication isn’t turning people away.
This episode is CHOCK FULL of fabulous tips that will help you to improve your presentations and communication skills.  Here’s some of what we covered:
    • why it’s important to start you video/presentation with movement followed by stillness
    • the right way to use your hands, what gestures to make and what ones you MUST stop
    • learn why Louise thinks authenticity can be totally misleading (this was a totally new way of looking at things for me)
Louise’s suggestions were simple, made total sense and you’ll be able to implement them right away.
    Listen now
    Angus
P.S. This is actually a great episode to watch rather than listen to if possible.  Lots of what Louise shares will make WAY more sense when you can see her.  Enjoy!

While completing her awarded PhD, Louise observed a missing ingredient in corporate leadership, an understanding of the mind-body-voice connection she calls Vocal Intelligence. By helping people to develop the skills behind each she is able to create discernible, positive change. Added to her understanding of the psychology behind high-stake engagements and the structures for handling emotion, these became the foundation of the Mahler Method, a program for leaders who wish to excel.

Mahler is an expert in body language, voice and emotion, with a PhD in business, and degrees and masters in organisational psychology as well as music. Her skills as a master practitioner in neuro-linguistic programming combine with her professional performance experience on the worldwide opera stage to give her a unique perspective on what presence and authority entail.

  • Ep153. Stop Saying These 3 Words! Angus Pyke
In this episode I share with you the 3 words that I think you should remove from your vocabulary…more about that in a moment.
I recently came across an encouraging statistic revealing that world wide literacy is at an all time high. I’m an avid reader and come from a family of readers and  I credit reading as one of the habits that’s helped me most in life.
Moments after reading this statistic I was shocked to read that last year, 80% of American families did not buy a book (sadly I would think these statistic might be similar around the world).
It got me wondering…how much of a difference is there between not being able to read and choosing NOT to read?
To hear my thoughts and find out those 3 words, listen to the episode now.
As always friends, thanks for all you do.

  • Ep152. How To Show Up Unapologetically. Philip McKernan
Do you ever get the feeling that you’re not living the your best life?  If you do, then you’re not alone. It’s common especially in these trying times.
Searching for a deeper meaning and a greater sense of purpose in life can be painful, frustrating and difficult.
My guest on the podcast this week is world renowned at helping people in this exact situation.  When people are seeking clarity about their future or want to move through roadblocks, seen and unseen, they call Philip McKernan. As a speaker, he has inspired and challenged the Canadian Olympic Team and The Pentagon to name a few.
This conversation was one of the deepest and most enjoyable I can remember having.

what does it mean to show up unapologetically
why Philip has gone on record stating that goals are unhelpful.
the most important step we should take whenever we lack clarity
    what our deepest fears are
and so so so MUCH more!

Philip works with entrepreneurs and business leaders all over the world. When people are seeking clarity about their future or want to move through roadblocks, seen and unseen, they call Philip. As a speaker, he has inspired and challenged the Canadian Olympic Team and The Pentagon to name a few. He is also the founder and is spearheading the One Last Talk™ movement.
He helps people get clear on who they are and where they need to go. He helps them transition in their personal and professional lives so people feel aligned in all areas of life. Philip believes who and what we do ‘off the ice’ has a huge impact on our results ‘on the ice’. His groundbreaking Team Deepening™ work with organizations gives teams a refreshing way to connect and build real and collective resilience.
What separates Philip from a lot of coaches, speakers and gurus is originality. He brings new conversations to the table and spends an obscene amount of time thinking and challenging the status quo, instead of simply repackaging business & life hacking strategies. Philip McKernan is a philosopher, a modern day philosopher of the human experience. His pioneering philosophy around SoulSet™ equips and empowers people to uncover their gifts and impact the world.
With a knack of getting into all sorts of scenarios – he’s caddied in golf for the President of Ireland, been chased and nearly killed by a bull elephant in Nigeria and made wine in Australia. He has traveled to 80 countries around the globe, built an orphanage in Peru, written 5 books despite being dyslexic and created his first documentary film called Give & Grow. The film explores how the gift of giving makes us feel more worthy and alive. It also explores the science behind the impact of giving on our emotional well being, our mental health, our physiology, and our businesses.
Philip believes the path to a happy and fulfilling life is found through the meaning we derive in life through the WORK we do, our relationship to OTHERS and the most important relationship of all, the one with one’s SELF.

  • Ep151. What Can You Learn From The Businesses That Are Thriving Right Now? Angus Pyke
In todays episode I talk about what you can learn from the businesses that are currently thriving.   Regardless of the economy, throughout history there’s always been businesses that have managed to thrive when others have failed.
Right now, education businesses like Masterclass, Udemy and Creative Live are experiencing record growth.
The reason these businesses are doing well is firstly,  the shift towards remote working has meant that our time “online” is at a record high but secondly there has been a drastic shift in how customers are consuming information.
Think about it for a moment…why would customers be happy to pay for courses and training when they can learn just about everything they want for free on sites like Youtube?
Listen in now and I’ll share with you why this is and how you can capitalise on this growing trend.
    Thanks for all you do.
