I’m sitting down with Peta Borg! She is a mum to three children and accounts manager for their family owned and operated food distribution business. Along with husband Jamie, they are celebrating 20 years of owning their own business, PJ’s Food Distributors.
She is co-founder of The Argyle Affair, a foundation of artisan market, and also owns Local & Co Hampers. Now in its 4th year of trading, the business has grown from strength to strength, and along the way it has built wonderful relationships with clients and makers alike.
In this episode, we are going to talk about:
The truth is, consumers are becoming more savvy when it comes to supporting businesses and who they're going to give their hard-earned dollars to. People want to know who is behind a brand especially when it comes to online shopping.
When they see you as they go to your Instagram account, it increases the trust in in your brand and within the products and services you provide. When the trust is there, it speeds up their decision-making process.
That’s why it’s super duper important that we get really comfortable showing up and humanizing our brands, not just in 2021 but beyond, as we market our business forward.
And if you’re serious with growing your business with Instagram in 2021 and beyond, head-on over at socialmethodsociety.com!
Until next week, stay happy in your hustle.

Instagram is not only for growing an audience, building a community and making direct sales from. It’s also a wonderful place for building your email list with high quality leads!
Today, on the podcast, I’m going to be sharing 3 tips to grow your email list using Instagram traffic intentionally, with persistent consistency.
LISTEN NOW
Ladies, growing your email list with Instagram traffic is important because not everyone on Instagram is in a “ready to buy” phase in their customer journey. It’s your job, as the business owner / marketer, to move these people along.
(Read here: 3 Simple Instagram Growth Tips From Established Business Owners.)
Remember that we don’t really own our Instagram accounts, hence, we don’t own our social media following but we do own our email list.
Even if social media platforms change, or in instances that your social media accounts are shut down (for various reasons), or your followers move to another platform, you still have your email list. The beauty of it is you can stay in communication with your customers... Quite often, it’s in a much deeper and more intimate way.
Until next week! Stay happy in your hustle.

Welcome back to the Mums With Hustle podcast! This week’s episode is gonna be brief but it’s one that packs a punch. It’s one I tend to do every year, as I love entering a new year with a Word Of The Year.
LISTEN NOW
I believe it’s super important to choose a word of the year as it can become your anchor, your guiding light, or source of inspiration. Sometimes, it’s even a bit of intention. This word has to have an energy around it that feels really good for you.
I have this word visible in my home so I’m constantly reminded - 365 days - of its significance and the feeling that word evokes.
In this episode, I’m also going to share how I ended up having this particular word this year and an intuitive hack I used whenever I’m stuck with something.
How to choose your word of the year? Find out here>>>
My love, what is YOUR word of the year? If you have one, I would love to know! Hop on over to my latest Instagram post or send me a DM. If you love Instagram Stories or Reels, you may tag me in it, too. I would really love to share some of your words of the year!
Sending so much love to you. Until next week! Stay happy in your hustle.

It’s the last episode of 2020! In this episode, we are going to talk about reflecting. Reflecting on the year that was, and tapping right into gratitude... I’m so thrilled that you are listening to this episode as I’m actually going to have a co-host. Someone who is super special to me.
LISTEN NOW!
I'm joined by my eldest son, Ethan! We’re sharing the things we are grateful for this year despite the challenges and also, some of our wins. I know it’s been a really challenging year (to say the least), but there is still something to be grateful for. It is really important that as we approach the end of the year, we’re not approaching it from that sense of, “I can’t wait for 2020 to be over, bring on 2021!”
We should count our blessings more than we count our problems... and the end of the year is a really special time to do that.
We’re a huge fan of doing this together as a family. Karl and I always did this practice together and now that we have children, we do this gratitude practice with them as well.
Always thinking about what we are grateful for is part of having a growth mindset. We believe that it’s important to start it a really young age, to be able to look back, think reflectively and analyse how far you’ve come.
So, I encourage you to carve out some time and share what you are most grateful for. Get a piece of paper, a pen or pencil, and write down a list of things that you are thankful for.
Goal Setting For 2021
Listen to my number one planning tip for a balanced success here. If one of your goals for next year is to increase your target revenue, here’s how you can make more by doing less.
If you have a business and you want to have a place of learning and community, I highly encourage you to head on over to socialmethodsociety.com and join our waitlist. We will be opening our doors again in 2021 and we have many amazing things lined-up for our members!
