here is a piece of cake and a bottle of wine.

이것들을 너의 할머니께 가져다드리렴

Take them to your grandmother,

할머니는 아프고 약해지셨단다

she is ill and weak,

이것들이 그녀를 낫게 해줄거야

and they will do her good.

날이 더워지지 전에 출발하렴

Set out before it gets hot,

그리고 길을 가게 될 적에는

and when you are going,

조용히 조심해서 걷고

walk nicely and quietly

그리고 길을 벗어나지 마려므나

and do not run off the path,

옛날 옛적에

Once upon a time

귀여운 소녀가 있었습니다.

there was a dear little girl

그녀를 본 모든 사람들에 의해 사랑받았어요.

who was loved by every one who looked at her,

그 누구보다 그녀의 할머니가 소녀를 가장 사랑했어요.

but most of all by her grandmother,

그래서 아무 것도 없었죠.

and there was nothing

할머니가 아이에게 줄 수 없었던 것 은요

that she would not have given to the child.

한번은 할머니가 아이에게 빨간 비단 망토를 주었습니다.

Once she gave her a little cap of red velvet,

그것은 그녀에게 너무 잘 어울렸기에

which suited her so well

that she would never wear anything else.

The next day,

공주가 저녁 식사를 하러 앉았을 때,

just as the princess had sat down to dinner,
