This isn't IPS, it's her ugly step-sister that shows up for family dinners ready to start some shit.
And if you’re running this pricing model, it’s likely costing you far more than simply dealing with a toxic family dinner.
In this episode, I’m breaking down a pricing model that’s often labeled “IPS-ish,” “simpler,” or “more client-friendly,” and explaining why it quietly strips away the very things that make IPS work in the first place. On the surface, it looks modern and efficient. Underneath, it removes urgency, emotional momentum, and leadership at the exact moment your client needs it most.
I share a real conversation with a client that stopped me in my tracks and perfectly illustrates what happens when photographers hand decision-making back to clients instead of guiding them through it.
This is not about talent or effort. It’s about what happens when a system forces clients to choose alone, under restriction, and without context.
We talk about the psychology behind how people actually make decisions, why emotion has to lead the buying process, and what goes wrong when logic is introduced too early. I also explain why galleries get abandoned, why clients freeze instead of finishing orders, and why this model feels easier but produces smaller, quieter results.
This episode is not about shaming photographers. It’s about calling out bad education and raising the standard of what we teach as “luxury.” Because when a system fails this consistently, it’s not the photographers who are the problem.
If you’ve ever felt capped even when your work is strong, or wondered why your pricing feels harder to sell than it should, this episode will connect dots you may not have realized were related.
At the time I’m recording this, there are two spots left inside the POSERS Mastermind. If this conversation feels uncomfortably familiar, that’s not an accident. The link to apply is RIGHT HERE... or the link to the waitlist for the next round of the mastermind is RIGHT HERE.
Either way, not pressing play on this episode is more dangerous than you might think.
