Resiliency in Running episodes

  • Running from Confronting Your Friend About Their Eating Disorder

To those listening, know that you aren't alone! This is such a tough topic to dissect, especially with someone you love. Know that what you're doing (even just listening to this episode) shows that all you want to do is help/love/care for them. I believe you can, and I'm forever grateful to the friend that did so for me!

  • Running from Health Inequity: Interview with Claudette Ferro of Medical Bridges

An exciting episode that I have been looking forward to releasing for a while now! One of my really good friends and colleagues, Claudette Ferro, recently travelled to Haiti on behalf of her company, Medical Bridges. Medical Bridges is an amazing company that takes medical waste that would've otherwise been thrown away, and up-cycles it to be reused in countries all over the world!

We also discuss and compare the healthcare systems in the US, UK, and Haiti - all pretty massive differences and how it's impacted Claudette's view on healthcare and where she wants to take her career, professionally!

  • Running from Traveling in 2020

Surprise! I'm sharing big (personal) news in this episode - news that not even Instagram has seen yet ;)

I hope you find sanity in this episode if you are feeling any anxiety around travel plans or seeing others travel! I totally resonate with that feeling, and here's how I'm planning my travel to try and avoid any anxiety-inducing incidents during my experience (very soon)!

(I'm also very serious about the Youtube vlog idea LOL)

  • Running from Trauma: Sexual Assault Experience, Modern Day Victim-Blaming, How To Support Victims

This was truly the heaviest episode I've recorded so far (hence why it's also my longest ha!). In all seriousness, I haven't been as open about my experience with sexual assault publicly as I have in this episode, this is something I've always wanted to do as I know not all victims have the privilege of testifying in a case. I also know that it's hard to hear that your family member or friend has experienced such a traumatic thing, so I wanted to include helpful tips for that audience! I solely wanted to record this episode in the hopes that I can open up the conversation a bit more, because sexual assault isn't something that's talked about enough, and it's time we start.

  • Running from the Gym: Lacking motivation to workout, struggling with overexercising, finding a balance

While this is titled running from the gym, this episode is actually covering a myriad of things! For one, I'm finally sharing how I got into my passions for running (it's about time!), the struggles I've had in overexercising during my eating disorder, lacking in finding the motivation to work out, and how I was able to then find a healthy balance within it. This one's a good one, so make sure to sit back and relax with a coffee or tea!

  • Running from Pursuing Your Dream Job

Most of us in our early twenties may not know what we want to do, let alone what our "dream job" is. Today I want to focus on why you should still pursue something you're passionate about, and the difference between quantity and quality in jobs.
