  • Rams preview: Expect more Gurley as McVay focuses on 'not being an idiot'
The Los Angeles Rams playoff hopes are still alive, in part due to the Seattle Seahawks Week 12 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. After the Rams win over the Cardinals, Sean McVay now has his team in position to jump up to the sixth seed if the Rams can pull off a victory and the Vikings fall to the Lions. Definitely not the preferable outcome for coach Pete Carroll as he has a chance to get his 100th regular season win. It could be a memorable one, too, considering the Rams move to Inglewood next season could make this his last game coaching in the Los Angeles Coliseum.
Bear Mader of Locked on Rams joins the show to discuss how the struggles for the Rams this season has been due, in part, to injuries on the offensive line. Jared Goff hasn't looked the same and part of that may be due to McVay admitting that he hasn't used Todd Gurley enough this season. When McVay was asked why he was using Gurley more, he said it was due to, "Me not being an idiot." With that renewed focus, the team blew out the Arizona Cardinals last week 34-7.

  • 3 IN, 3 OUT: Join the Linemen for Pancakes Movement
The Seattle Seahawks 37-30 win over the Minnesota Vikings was a game that had it all. Another beautiful victory to get Seattle to the top of the NFC West standings, tons of offense, some booming defense and a baby Yoda all over Twitter. Quandre Diggs took the soul of a Vikings player now known as Irv the Tirv, Duane Brown ignites the linemen for pancakes movement and George Fant going in motion has all fans wondering at what point this team is going to be dialing up a pass for the guy.
A lot of great contributions from the flock in the final segment. After the game, be sure and tag @clintonbon or @SeaHawkersPod and use #3i3o. Or join the Flock and be a part of the group on gameday via getintheflock.com or now via linemenforpancakes.org.

  • RECAP: Seahawks vs Vikings - A dynamic duo wearing action green
The Seattle Seahawks continue their Monday Night Football dominance throughout their franchise history and are now 10-2 and in first place in the NFC West. With the 37-30 win, they also continue their perfect record in December in prime time under Pete Carroll. Alistair Corp of Field Gulls joins the show to talk about the pair of Seahawks running backs who helped lead Seattle to victory and into second place in the NFC playoff picture.
Chris Carson carried 23 times and had one catch for a total of 109 yards and a touchdown, while Rashaad Penny combined for 15 carries and four catches for 107 yards and two scores. Russell Wilson delivered two passes for touchdowns on the night, one to Penny and one as a 60-yard deep ball to David Moore.
Looking ahead to next weekend's matchup between the New Orleans Saints and the San Francisco 49ers means that Seattle could get help in one of two ways. A Saints win could help Seattle in securing an NFC West title or a win by the 49ers could help either team toward earning the top seed in the NFC. If both teams keep winning, that could lead to a Week 17 game that could mean the difference between home field advantage throughout the playoffs vs a fifth seed and starting the playoffs on the road.

  • Seahawks are now playing for NFC West lead after the 49ers loss
With the San Francisco 49ers 20-17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, the Seahawks now have a chance to take the lead in the NFC West with a win over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night. Brandan takes a look at the 49ers upcoming opponents as they have another tough road game next week against Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. There was some big injury news on Sunday as Adam Thielen was downgraded from questionable on Saturday's injury report to reportedly being out for Monday's game against the Seahawks. Brandan goes through this week's injuries before getting into comments from Pete Carroll's press conference on Saturday where he gives some thoughts on the limitations of the 46-man roster on gameday as well as updates on the recovery of Ethan Pocic.

  • Vikings preview: The key to Kirk Cousins' success in 2019 has been Dalvin Cook
In a matchup of two of the top teams in the NFC, the Seattle Seahawks face off against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football. The Vikings are 3-3 on the road this season and are 2-3 coming off the bye week under head coach Mike Zimmer. Ted Glover of the Daily Norsemen joins the show to talk about the key to stopping a Vikings offense that has seen a lot of success this year, especially since their Week 4 loss to the Chicago Bears.
Two things that have helped the Vikings offense improve since Seattle saw them last season. First, Dalvin Cook has been tremendous in the run game and catching passes out of the backfield. Secondly, Kirk Cousins has done very well to limit turnovers. With the Vikings allowing just 18.6 points per game, good for sixth in the NFL, the game could come down to how well Russell Wilson will be able to perform inside the red zone against Minnesota's defense.

  • 3 IN, 3 OUT: Giving thanks for a Seahawks pass rush versus Philly
A Happy Thanksgiving Day episode as we raise our glasses and toast the 9-2 Seahawks after they pick up their sixth straight win on the road for the 2019 season. With the win, Clinton Bonner and Brandan Schulze start with an "IN" as the two talk key in on one player in particular that had a big day in both stopping the run and disrupting Carson Wentz in the passing game. But there were also players and moments in this game that allowed the Philadelphia Eagles team to stay in this game when Russell Wilson could have been leading the offense on drives to put the game away early. As always, we talk about the good and we talk about the bad, in a balanced recap of the past week's game.

  • Shifting Tyler Lockett away from special teams role
The Seahawks picked up a 17-9 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but struggles on offense allowed the Eagles to hang in the game until the fourth quarter. Who would Seahawks fans be blaming if Philadelphia pulled off a victory over Seattle? One player they didn't need to lean on in this game was Tyler Lockett, as he even saw a reduction in his workload by passing on special teams duties to some of the younger players. Brandan provides a look at where Lockett ranks among the franchise leaders.
Looking ahead to the matchup with the Vikings, we talk about the one player that has big potential to make the Seahawks struggle on Sunday. Finally, we get into our Week 13 picks.

  • RECAP: Seahawks vs Eagles - Defense turning the page on early season narrative
With the 17-9 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, the Seattle Seahawks are now 6-0 on the road and match their franchise best road win total from 2013. They'll have a chance to beat that record with two more road games left on the schedule against the Los Angeles Rams and Carolina Panthers.
Joining the podcast to talk about the Seahawks victory is Rob Staton of Seahawks Draft Blog. Seattle seemed determined to allow the Eagles to stay in this game until Rashaad Penny broke off a 58-yard run to put the Seahawks up 17-3 in the fourth quarter. That came after one of the most exciting plays on defense led into one of the most frustrating series by the offense in this game.
We talk about how this game impacts Russell Wilson's MVP chances especially considering the narrative being promoted on ESPN ahead of the Monday Night Football game against the Rams.

  • Eagles preview: Carson Wentz is a vertical QB playing in a horizontal system
The Seattle Seahawks are 5-0 on the road this season and have an opportunity to tie their franchise win total on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have only five wins on the season, but they did beat the Green Bay Packers on Lambeau Field and jumped out to a 10-0 lead against the New England Patriots last Sunday.
On the other hand, the Eagles were dominated by the Vikings and Cowboys and up until recently were the only team the Atlanta Falcons were able to get a win against. So are the 2019 Eagles a good team or are they a bad team? Michael Kist of Bleeding Green Nation joins the Field Gulls Podcast to talk about some of the things frustrating Eagles fans to this point in the season.
Even with the frustrations, the final five games on the schedule have the potential to set the Eagles up for a run to the NFC East title. Could this week's game be a potential playoff preview and might this be one of the last opportunities for the Eagles to show that they have what it takes to be a playoff team?
One of the concerns with the Eagles this season is how Carson Wentz has a lack of deep receiving threats with DeSean Jackson sidelined after having surgery for a core muscle. As Kist puts it, the Eagles have a vertical quarterback who is now forced to play in a horizontal offense.

  • 3 IN, 3 OUT: Overcoming BWS (Bye Week Syndrome)
The Seahawks were on a bye week this past week and hopefully it allowed some Seattle fans a needed break from having to reach for the heartburn or anxiety medication on gameday. There are many things that stand out as great and not-so-great from the 2019 season to this point. Russell Wilson's quest for his first MVP or All-Pro nod has been a highlight along with the breakout rookie season of D.K. Metcalf and the emergence of Tyler Lockett to fill in behind the departure of Doug Baldwin. Negative aspects of the season to this point has been the lack of pass rush and the inability to protect the football. But we are here on this show to go a bit deeper or focus on some of the areas that may be getting overlooked. It turns out that when the Seahawks are on a bye, we start with a "thigh."
