Welcome back to Livin on the El-Ledge, the show within the Sober Vibes Podcast where my sister Kimberly Elledge and I talk honestly about life after alcohol.
In this episode, we’re getting real about socializing and friendships in sobriety, the good, the awkward, and everything in between. We open up about how our social lives changed once we quit drinking, what we learned about setting boundaries, and how to find genuine connections without alcohol.
If you’re in early sobriety, we want you to know it’s okay to take a step back from certain people or events. You don’t have to rush into situations that don’t feel safe yet. Healing takes time, and your peace is worth protecting.
Friendships may change, but what’s on the other side is an authentic connection — no hangovers required.

In episode 24 of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I sit down with Jenn Kautsch, the founder of SoberSis, to talk about how her relationship with alcohol evolved later in life and how she became a voice for women questioning their drinking habits.
We dive deep into the truth behind Mommy Wine Culture, the marketing, pressure, and normalization of alcohol as a coping mechanism for moms. Jenn shares her personal story of being a “grey area drinker,” how she recognized that wine wasn’t actually helping her unwind, and what it looked like to finally break the cycle.
This is a powerful and freeing conversation about redefining self-care, finding peace without pouring a glass, and creating space for women to talk about alcohol without shame or judgment.
You don’t have to hit rock bottom to decide you’re ready for a change. Awareness is the first step toward freedom.

In episode 23 of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I’m talking about something that almost everyone experiences in early sobriety: the sweet tooth that shows up once alcohol is gone. Yep, we’re getting real about sugar cravings, weight changes, and why your body is reacting this way.
Here’s the truth: you have to choose your hard. If it means grabbing a cupcake instead of a cocktail, that’s a win. Your body and brain are adjusting, and it’s totally normal to crave sugar as you detox from alcohol.
I share my own experience with sugar cravings, how long they lasted, and what helped me find balance again. I also remind you that you don’t have to tackle everything at once. Nutrition and fitness can come later. Right now, give yourself permission to heal.
Be kind to yourself. The cravings fade, your body resets, and the freedom that follows is worth every sweet moment

In this episode, we’re diving into one of the most powerful and sometimes uncomfortable parts of personal growth: boundaries.

In episode 21 of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I sit down with Rebecca Edwards to talk about spiritual fitness and how nurturing your spiritual health can deeply support your recovery journey.
Rebecca and I dive into what it really means to stay spiritually fit in sobriety, how to reconnect with yourself after addiction, and why this practice can help you find purpose and peace no matter where you started in life.
We also talk about her story of transformation from childhood trauma and substance abuse to becoming an author, speaker, and recovery advocate, and how she turned her pain into purpose.
If you’ve been feeling disconnected or searching for deeper meaning in your sobriety, this conversation will remind you that spiritual fitness is about progress, not perfection.

In episode 20 of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I’m breaking down one of the biggest myths about sobriety that sober people are boring. Spoiler alert: that’s a them problem, not a you problem.
I get real about how this stigma shows up and how to shift your mindset around fun, connection, and confidence without alcohol. Living alcohol-free doesn’t mean your life gets smaller; it means you finally get to show up fully for it.
If you’ve ever worried that sobriety might make you dull, this episode will remind you that being alcohol-free is anything but boring. Your energy, peace, and presence are the new party.
Remember why you chose this path, stay the course, and grab your Sober Not Boring 30-Day Activities Calendar for some alcohol-free inspiration and fun!

Welcome back to Livin on the El-Ledge, the show within the Sober Vibes Podcast where my sister Kimberly Elledge and I talk about life, recovery, and everything in between.
In this episode, we’re getting honest about navigating uncertain times, moments when the world feels unpredictable and heavy. We share how we’re personally coping, what’s helping us stay grounded, and a few tips that might help you do the same.
Of course, in true Elledge fashion, we mix in some humor, honesty, and a little inappropriate sister banter because, even in chaos, laughter is still medicine.
If you’ve been struggling with the unknown lately, this conversation will remind you that you’re not alone and that you can stay sober, steady, and even find some joy, no matter what’s happening around you.

In episode 18 of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I sit down with Michele Finn, founder of Jubilee of Wellness, to talk about the incredible benefits of CBD and essential oils for emotional balance, recovery, and overall well-being.
Michele shares how her journey caring for her mother through leukemia inspired her to explore holistic healing and create a wellness line focused on safe, natural support. We talk about how CBD and essential oils can help calm anxiety, support relaxation, and reconnect you with your body, especially in sobriety.
This conversation is full of inspiration, practical education, and heart. If you’ve been curious about using holistic tools like CBD or oils in your recovery, Michele offers a grounded, empowering perspective on how to get started safely.
Healing doesn’t have to be complicated; it can be simple, natural, and deeply supportive.

In episode 17 of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I’m diving into a topic that doesn’t get talked about enough: recovery burnout.
If you’ve found yourself feeling tired of “doing the work,” resenting meetings, or just needing a break from all things recovery, I want you to know it’s okay. You don’t have to read every book, attend every meeting, or listen to every podcast to stay sober. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is rest.
I share how I’ve dealt with recovery fatigue over the years and the ways I’ve learned to give myself grace when I need to unplug for a bit. Sobriety isn’t about perfection; it’s about living, learning, and taking care of yourself along the way.
This episode is your permission slip to pause without guilt. You’re still sober even when you’re resting.

Welcome back to Livin on the El-Ledge, the show within the Sober Vibes Podcast where my sister Kimberly Elledge and I talk openly about the real, raw, and sometimes uncomfortable parts of recovery.
In this episode, we’re discussing something that isn’t often talked about but needs to be — the 13th step in Alcoholics Anonymous. We’re shining a light on the predators who take advantage of newly sober people in the program and the harm it causes.
Both of us have participated in AA at different points in our sobriety journeys, and this conversation doesn’t come from a place of judgment but from love and protection for the community. Our intention is to raise awareness, encourage boundaries, and remind people that they deserve safety and respect in recovery spaces.
Sobriety is sacred. You don’t owe anyone your trust, your time, or your body, especially when you’re healing.
