In episode 15 of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I sit down with Stephanie Curtis to talk about codependency, healing, and what it’s like to love someone struggling with alcoholism.
Stephanie opens up about her experience of being married to an alcoholic and the emotional toll it took on her life. She shares how she found her strength, broke free from the cycle of codependency, and began the hard but necessary work of rebuilding her self-worth.
This episode is an honest and powerful conversation about boundaries, healing, and self-compassion. If you’ve ever loved someone battling addiction or if you’re learning to take your power back, this one will speak to your heart.

In episode 14 of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I’m talking about something that most people in recovery experience but don’t always say out loud: missing alcohol.
If you’ve ever found yourself longing for a drink or missing what alcohol once represented, you’re not alone. It’s a normal part of the healing process. Just like grieving an ex, you’re letting go of something that played a major role in your life, even if it wasn’t healthy.
I share how I processed that grief, what helped me work through the emotions without judgment, and how you can reframe missing alcohol as part of your growth, not a sign of failure. This episode is a gentle reminder that healing is layered, and it’s okay to feel it all.
You’re allowed to miss your old life while loving your new one. Both can be true.

Welcome back to Livin on the El-Ledge, the show within the Sober Vibes Podcast where my sister Kimberly Elledge and I talk openly about our lives before and after sobriety.
In this episode, we’re diving into our own drunk history, the wild, funny, and sometimes painful stories from our drinking days. We each share our perspectives on the moments we once thought were “good times” and how we now see them through the lens of recovery.
We also talk about how sobriety has helped us heal our relationship as sisters by learning to respect each other’s boundaries, communicate honestly, and rebuild trust. What once caused chaos has now brought connection, and that’s something we’re both deeply grateful for.
This one’s full of truth, laughter, and healing because looking back helps us appreciate how far we’ve come.

In episode 12 of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I sit down with my friend Marnie Rae, founder of National Mocktail Week, to talk all things mocktails, motherhood, and Housewives (yes, those Housewives!).
We chat about Marnie’s journey as a proud working mom, her love of creativity in the kitchen, and how mocktails have become more than just a drink; they’re a movement that’s helping normalize alcohol-free living. We also share some laughs about reality TV, staying grounded in busy seasons, and what it means to build a life you don’t need to escape from.
Whether you’re sober curious, alcohol-free, or just looking for fun ways to connect without booze, this conversation is full of inspiration, humor, and heart.

In episode 11 of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I’m talking about what it was like 11navigating early sobriety during quarantine and why I actually believe it can be a blessing in disguise.
If you’re newly sober, this unexpected downtime can be a powerful opportunity to rest, reflect, and truly begin healing. I share my thoughts on using this season to build a solid foundation in your recovery from slowing down and reconnecting with yourself to creating healthy habits that will support your long-term sobriety.
You don’t have to rush back into the world to grow. Sometimes, the quiet moments become the most transformative.

In this episode of Living on the El-Edge, the show within the Sober Vibes Podcast, my sister Kimberly Elledge and I get real about something every person in recovery faces: shame.
We open up about some of the most shameful moments from our addictions, the ones that once made us feel small, unworthy, and stuck. Together, we talk about how we’ve learned to let go of that weight and finally release the shame attached to our past.
We also share practical ways to begin releasing shame in your own life, from practicing self-forgiveness to rewriting your inner narrative. This conversation is raw, vulnerable, and healing, a reminder that you’re not defined by your lowest moments, but by what you do next.
If you’ve been holding on to guilt from your drinking or using days, this one’s for you. Healing starts with honesty and compassion for yourself.

In this heartfelt episode of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I open up about navigating sobriety during the COVID-19 pandemic, a time that tested all of us in ways we never imagined.
I share my top five tips for protecting both your sobriety and your sanity during uncertain times, along with the mindfulness practices that helped me stay grounded when everything around me felt out of control. This episode is raw, emotional, and a reminder that even in isolation, we are never truly alone.
I also pay tribute to my home city — Detroit — and the incredible strength, spirit, and heart of its people. This one’s for everyone who showed resilience, compassion, and community when the world stood still.
No matter where you are in your journey, I hope this episode gives you a little comfort, perspective, and peace of mind. Stay strong and stay connected.

It’s a bonus episode of Living on the El-Ledge, the show within the Sober Vibes Podcast, where my sister Kimberly Elledge and I talk about life, recovery, and everything that comes with living alcohol-free.
In this special quarantine edition, we’re diving into a topic that doesn’t get talked about enough sober sex. You’ll hear two honest perspectives: Kimberly’s as someone who’s single and navigating dating, and mine as someone in a long-term relationship.
We share how sex and intimacy looked before sobriety versus now, how we re-learned confidence and connection without alcohol, and what it means to build true intimacy when you’re fully present. This conversation is funny, open, and totally real because sobriety changes everything, including how we show up in relationships and in our own skin.
Whether you’re single or partnered, this one’s for anyone learning to reconnect with themselves in sober life.

Welcome back to Living on the El-Ledge, the show within the Sober Vibes Podcast, where my sister Kimberly Elledge and I get real about addiction, recovery, and the messy middle in between.
In episode 6, Kimberly shares her experience of being locked up in the county jail system after drinking and driving. We talk about what really happens behind bars, the harsh realities of the jail system, and how it often fails to help people struggling with addiction.
We also get into jail slang (yes, it’s a thing!), how the system profits from incarceration, and why recovery support is so limited once you’re inside. This conversation is raw, honest, and full of lessons learned the hard way.
If you’ve ever felt like the system was built to keep people stuck instead of helping them heal, this one will hit home.
