In episode 5 of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I’m joined by my friend Missy McKinney to discuss one of my favorite topics: empowerment in sobriety.
Missy opens up about how she got sober, the tools that helped her heal, and what it really looked like to distance herself from certain people in early recovery. We talk about boundaries, rebuilding confidence, and the power of finding your voice again once alcohol is no longer in control.
Missy is a proud animal parent, sobriety sympathizer, and a massive supporter of the underdogs, a tattooed, sarcastic life student with an even bigger heart. Her story is full of honesty, humor, and hope.
If you’re in early sobriety or looking for motivation to stay the course, this episode will remind you that empowerment and freedom are waiting on the other side.

In episode 4 of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I’m diving into the tools and approaches that have supported me throughout my recovery journey. Over the years, I’ve been asked countless times how I’ve stayed sober since 2012, and today, I’m sharing my honest, unfiltered answer.
From white-knuckling it in the beginning to twelve-step programs, therapy, and eventually hiring a mindset coach, I’ve tried it all. Through that process, I learned that there’s no one right way to recover. The key is finding what works for you and continuing to build from there.
If you’ve ever wondered how to make sobriety stick or what tools can help you create long-term change, this episode will give you real insight and encouragement to create your own recovery path.

Welcome to a special episode of the Sober Vibes Podcast! This one’s part of our “show within a show” called Living on the El-Ledge, where my sister Kimberly Elledge and I share real, unfiltered conversations about addiction, recovery, family, and the healing that happens along the way.
In this episode, Kimberly introduces herself and opens up about her twenty-year battle with drugs and alcohol, from falling in love with alcohol at just seven years old to the rock bottoms that landed her in jail. Her story is raw, powerful, and a reminder of how far we can come when we choose recovery.
We talk about our days partying together, how our family relationships evolved through sobriety, and the deep bond we’ve built since finding freedom from addiction.
💫 “Living on the El-Edge” is all about laughter, honesty, and sisterhood because recovery doesn’t have to be lonely.

In this episode of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I sit down with my friend Leah Royster to talk about what it’s really like being single in sobriety.
We dive into how empowering it can be to date alcohol-free, the importance of setting boundaries early, and how to show up confidently as your authentic self, no cocktails required. Leah gets honest about her own recovery journey, from using drugs and alcohol in her teens and 20s to choosing sobriety on May 7th, 2017, and never looking back.
She also shares her tips for dating while sober, being upfront about her lifestyle, and embracing solo adventures, including hiking, kayaking, and traveling alone. Her story is proof that life doesn’t end when you quit drinking; it truly begins.
Whether you’re single, dating, or rediscovering who you are without alcohol, this episode is packed with inspiration and laughter.

Welcome to the very first episode of the Sober Vibes Podcast! I’m so glad you’re here.
In this episode, I open up about my ten-year love affair with alcohol — how it started, how it spiraled, and the moment I knew it had to end. I share what my 20s looked like through the lens of drinking and using, the truth behind my rock bottom, and the moment I decided to change my life for good.
I’ve been living alcohol-free since August 18th, 2012, and I created Sober Vibes to help women feel empowered, not ashamed, in their sobriety. As a Sober Coach, Co-Founder of National Sober Day, and Creator of the Sober Vibes community, I know firsthand how hard and how freeing this journey can be.
If you’re sober curious or ready to quit drinking, this episode is where it all begins.
