Joseph Murphy - How to Change the Subconscious Mind
Relationships with narcissist are insidious. They begin one way and over time, very slowly and covertly, change and become poison.
We wake up one day and wonder what we did wrong and how we got here. We blame ourselves and can even feel embarrassed to tell others.
In today's very vulnerable show. Tracy shares her story of narcissism. She married a wonderful man and within a 2 year period, her life had drastically changed and she couldn't understand what was happening and began doubting herself. She fell into a depression and lived with anxiety and had lost her self, in 2 short years.
Tracy walks us through her story and in the end we offer advice for those that are also in these types of relationships and what you can do about it to begin to build yourself up and find your (true) self again.

What a show! Today's show with special guest - Marriage and Family therapist, Meghan Crough was as empowering as it was inspirational.
Meg answered so many important questions about raising kids. We talked about so many things including temper tantrums or angry kids, how to discipline effectively, boundaries versus control, what to do if you have a spouse or co-parent with different values and ideas about parenting and most importantly how to raise empowered, successful kids.
It is a show not to be missed if you are wanting to learn more about parenting successfully. Meg clearly knows her stuff and explained clearly how to raise authentic and healthy kids.

This show was incredible! Ramona Reid, Enneagram coach and I had a fascinating conversation about how our childhood wounding affects us later on in life and creates the masks that we wear to cover up our wounding.
Ramona does a beautiful job of blending the Enneagram into The Adult Chair and teaches us how to live from our essence (otherwise known as our Adult Chair), regardless of our wounding.
She goes over each enneagram type with us and explains how each type has a specific wounding and mask that we wear.
This show as as cool as it was informative! Even if you have never heard of the Enneagram, you will benefit from listening as it will deepen your understandings of your wounding and how you are showing up in the world.
If you want to listen to the previous two shows that Ramona has been on to deepen your understanding of the Enneagram, see the show notes below. They are all brilliant shows!

Why do people cringe at the suggestion of setting a boundary? So many people respond with, "I don't like confrontation", when I suggest a boundary.
Setting boundaries is tough to do if we were not modeled healthy boundaries growing up. Even if we came from a pretty healthy family, few people grew up with healthy boundary modeling.
In today's show I talk about what boundaries are, how to set them, examples of healthy versus unhealthy boundaries and the four key steps and "how to's", to setting healthy boundaries.
I also discuss what to do when boundaries "backfire" and we are met with upsetness or anger from another at our simple request.
I end with a few take aways of what boundaries are and are not and what to do if you are in a toxic or even abusive relationship.
Boundaries are a necessary part of our lives and a key to healthy relationships. This show is filled with great tools and tips to help you to start better taking care of yourself and learning how to set a simple request and teaching other people how to treat you.

Am I in a toxic relationship? I unfortunately get asked this question all too often. I find that what feels "normal" is actually toxic but due to low self esteem or loss of self, we find ourselves living in not so healthy or even unhealthy, toxic relationships.
In today's show I go over 6 signs of toxic relationships. I explain what to look for in toxic relationships and how to know if you are in one.
I also offer next steps to heal and transform yourself out of the toxic relationship.

What would you think if I told you that joy could be part of codependency? Well it can!
Codependency and I have been friends for too many years to count (most of my life). However, in my discovery of this, I have found joy in learning who I am as an Adult and taking my childhood back. I might even say that I find it now as a gift as I now get to discover who I am and it's an exciting journey to take as an Adult.
I feel my inner child come through me with excitement and wonder with all of the new thoughts, ideas and plans "we" have for my future.
The journey can be an exciting one when we shift our idea about codependency and step out of victim mode. Just because we grew up codependent or are experiencing it now doesn't mean our lives are over! It means our lives can begin and the time is now to experience the joy that comes with this self-discovery process.

I'm back from my summer break! Welcome to the first show of our new podcast year. I am so excited about our guest today. I have spoken for months about Myofascial Release Technique and am finally having our in house expert on the show! Diana Schneider, Advanced Myofacial Release Therapist is on today talking all about what the technique is and how it can help you. This technique has been a beautiful complement for my own clients as well as part of my bi-weekly self care. It's a wonderful way to release emotions, take the body out of fight or flight, help the body to "calm down" from anxiety and relax and so much more. It's also wonderful for people with locked muscles, physical pain, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. Myofascial Release is a technique that releases emotions out of the fascia, the film that resides over the muscles, which creates a relaxed state in the body and mind. Diana and I talk all about how it works and who it can help (all of us). :) I can't wait for you to hear this show!
