Power of Forgiveness - Releasing Dark Energy to Heal Releasing negative thoughts, anger, and bitterness to heal faster

I was compelled to share this message today ahead of the interviews I have scheduled. It was a powerful tap on the shoulder from God, the Universe, higher power, whatever name you have for that force. It began by listening to a video on youTube.

I dropped everything to share this one because I believe it's the key to moving forward and breaking cycles of dysfunction and abuse.

It's far too easy to stay in rumination mode trying to make sense of why things are the way they are or why they have unfolded as they have. But when we do this we're keeping ourselves stuck in the same gear, the same wavelength, planted there feeding the negative energy, and it's like waving a flag asking for more of the same. No bueno!!

If we want to move out of this negative space and free ourselves from the muck, we can release the anger, the bitterness, and all sense of victim thinking and trade it for more positive thoughts that are on the other side of the spectrum.

Focus on allowing forgiveness and gratitude to well up. Search for things to be grateful for, things of any size. Start super small if it's easier. A smile from a stranger, a positive interaction with customer service that could've been difficult.

All these tiny choices to focus on and recognized the positive add up to fuel our hope, faith, and optimism and result in more Love, joy, and bring us out of a dark place and into light.

Happy Independence Weekend!!

This solo episode is about independence, independent thoughts, and leaving behind or minimizing the things, circumstances, and people that don’t serve to move you forward.

And, liberating ourselves from recurring thoughts, stories, and messages that keep us SMALL or stuck.

It takes work, but it’s work with a massive pay off to do this deliberately. You may not see and feel it immediately, but good DOES show up when we MAKE ROOM for it.

Donna is a bright light and shows us that there are many lives and chapters to be lived after leaving an abusive situation. As she shares in this episode, Donna has made her way out the other side of multiple abusive relationships always with more resilience, a fresh perspective, and never allowing herself to settle into a "less than" or undeserving mindset.

Her life serves as an example of what's possible for all of us if we keep dreaming and fall into the stuck zone spending too much time around people who pull us down. After 40 years of writing and storytelling, Donna's first published book, With The Courage Of A Mouse, is out and enjoying positive acclaim. She did it and there will be more books to come.

As the youngest child in a large family, Donna felt lost in the crowd. She entertained herself by making up stories and friends to play with. By age 5, Donna had taught herself to read, and that began her imaginative journey to dreamy castles with princes and fairy godmothers. Donna is a grandmother, random fact-finder, and encourager. And yes, she believes she's a superhero. She resides in California with her family and four cats.

After a virtual pre-interview meeting with Rnold and Michelle, partners and founders of The Connection App. I knew I wanted to work with them and latch onto their Connection movement. I've struggled with disconnection and isolation myself and I see so many people around me in the same boat. And since May is mental health awareness month it makes sense to tackle this topic in a positive way to bolster ourselves and find ways to avert depression and isolation that at the most serious end can lead to suicide.

She's an incredibly articulate and sensitive interviewer who gives women the opportunity to share their intimate thoughts and experiences related to sex. Her show is a guilty pleasure and a window into women's minds and sexual behavior.

We discuss coming of age in an emotionally abusive relationship and how that impacted Carey's perspective on sex, her sexual choices, and shut her down from the experience of pleasure and voicing her desires. On the upside she's made this her career now and is sex positive - emphasizing communication for partners so everyone expresses their needs, has them met, and enjoys sex - that's the goal anyway.
