Unlike diets, which are full of rigid rules that prevent you from listening to your body, these guidelines promote the opposite: They help you honour your body so that you can get over the exhausting struggle with weight loss and food obsession. Dieting doesn’t work, plain and simple. The restriction always leads to binges, and food rules only push you further into your head. In order to regain sanity around food, you need to pull yourself back into your body. When you’re in your body, you’re connected to your body’s infinite wisdom that already knows how to be its natural weight. Intuition: Your Body’s Infinite Wisdom... Let's dig in!
Do you feel constantly hopeless and weak, like you wonder why all those years ago you nailed dieting but now you can't even diet for a couple of days without face planting ice cream...?
Are you sick and tired and starting again on Monday?
We all know diets aren't the answer, but what is?
How can we feel free around food and not hold all our self worth in our body image?
In this video, I talk about why you can't diet and why you binge eat and then the steps you need to take to break free.
Halfway through a kg bag of Peanut m&ms, I’m pissed at myself… because I just know that I’ll eat the whole bag.
I feel out of control. I literally can’t stop eating.
Binge eating like this was practically my norm during my Dieting Days. I would be a “good” little calorie-counter all day, only to find myself in the kitchen at night compulsively shovelling food into my face.
At the time, I thought it was just a frustrating lack of willpower. But it was actually something else: hedonic eating.
Luckily, there’s a way to end this type of food obsession, and I’ll show you how...
Have you ever overeaten because you didn’t want to waste food or money?
Perhaps you spent €20 on a meal and felt like you’d be a sucker if you didn’t finish your plate… (as if taking it to-go wasn’t an option).
Or maybe you can’t take it to-go (for whatever reason) and you feel like it’s disrespectful to waste food (for whatever reason).
I get it — these are HARD psychological blocks to overeating.
Let’s tackle them one-by-one shall we?
Self-love can help you develop the courage and compassion necessary for ultimate health and wellness.
The big problem is that self-love can feel inaccessible for those in the grips of binge eating, body dysmorphia, self-loathing, and self-sabotage.
So today I want to talk about how self-love can help you achieve your natural weight. I’ll explain how it works, then provide practices for you to begin rebuilding your self-love.
Did you know that you don’t have to love your body in order to love your self?
This makes sense, right? After all, the body neutrality movement started because of how freaking hard it is to love your body in an image-obsessed culture.
But I’m not talking about body-love. I’m talking about self-love. And here’s how it has a domino effect on your weight loss goals:
What is motivation? Motivation is a reason for acting or behaving a certain way.
How do we stay motivated toward our goals when it's the last thing we feel like doing?
Listen to find out where you're going wrong with motivation and how to become so motivated that the only option left is to achieve your goals and desires!
What is the difference between dieting and healthy behaviours? (And why does it matter so much?)
How many diets have you done?
How many times have you restricted food groups in order to lose weight?
How many times have you declined a cookie with, No thanks, I'm trying to be good?
If your anything like me, your answer will be too many times to remember!
What I have come to learn on my journey to food freedom and vibrant health, is that in order to feel good from the inside, nutritious food plays a huge part in that. But how do we adopt a healthy lifestyle without being 'on a diet' or obsessing over our weight...?
Listen to find out my beauties...
The truth about self-sabotage (and how to stop!)
“I exercised this morning, so I’ve earned this pizza.”
"I’m stressed out after a rough day, and chocolate helps me relax.”
"I can treat myself. It’s the weekend, and I ate healthy all week.”
Sound familiar? In the time I've coached people to stop binge eating and find their healthiest weight, I’ve heard countless clients say, “I’d be able to reach my goals if only I were able to stop self-sabotaging.” And they’re right. Many people sabotage their weight loss goals. I’m going to help you recognize self-sabotaging when you see it, understand why you might be doing it, and figure out how to overcome it.
