I offer no excuses for a second, but brand new gratitude meditation! You can never have enough gratitude! I have switched up the intro and outro today so please listen to both...I also ask you to use a classic Mudra, or hand position, today. I ask you to join the tips of your thumb and first finger on each hand - the significance of this is that the thumb is said to represent The Universe and the first finger is said to represent you, as a single entity. The joining of yourself to the Universal energy is a wonderful and focal action which brings concentration and a light attention to your body. I always use this mudra in meditation so I would love for you to try it.It has been proved that meditating on gratitude can have a myriad of benefits. A daily gratitude meditation will improve your health – the benefits come from being shielded from stress which means that we can deal with problems with a calm mind and resolve them efficiently rather than reacting adversely. Our sleep/wake cycles will improve and the general mechanisms of the body, such as blood pressure, and metabolism, become healthier. Gratitude practice helps us to become more socially aware, more empathetic, helping us to have healthy social relationships, become better listeners, and generally feel more satisfied with life. Research upholds all this and also shows that regular gratitude meditation will boost motivation as well. The trick with a gratitude meditation is to find the positives and benefits in all sides of life. Once we are able to find something to be grateful for in the things that we might become stressed, worried, anxious or sad about then we will start to feel the incredible value of this practice. By focusing positively on what we might call the “wrong sides” of life we can change the way we think and feel about them. Guided meditations, such as this, are shown to activate your brain’s neuroplasticity – this is the power of the brain to shape itself in response to our thoughts, feelings and environment. When we focus our imagination into feelings of gratitude, calmness and contentment we are creating new neural pathways for our thoughts to travel down even when real life throws us a curved ball… With much love and gratitude for YOU!Rosanne xxx Get bonus content on Patreon Hosted on Acast. What if you don't need another thing? Another practice. Another course. Another book. Another thing to fix, heal or improve. After a surprisingly honest email to my community, I found myself thinking about how overwhelmed so many of us are - and whether self-development can sometimes become another thing we feel we have to do. There is a difference between wanting to grow and believing that who you are right now isn't enough. So what if, just for a little while, you took your foot off the pedal? Loosened the reins? Stopped trying to work everything out? What if you simply allowed yourself to be exactly where you are? Maybe you don't need another thing today. Maybe you just need a little space. And if you can find half an hour where there is genuinely nothing you need to do, nowhere you need to be and nothing you need to achieve... perhaps you're already meditating. ❤️ Rosanne x To find free resources and ways to work with me go to chakra-way.com Download your Nervous System First Aid Kit here To support the podcast and show your love please click here To join the Slow & Restore Retreat in St Andrews on 21st/22nd November please click here Or simply message me directly Hosted on Acast. Inna Segal is an author of the incredible book "The Secret Language of your Body" which has sold over a million copies and has been translated in to 29 languages. This is Inna's second time on the podcast and it was such a pleasure to take a deep dive with her. In this episode our aim was to look into the energies of Masculine and Feminine. Of course, the conversation meanders slightly but we discuss Inna's healing methods, the difficulties of trying to "have it all". We gave ourselves the space to go deep and wide and I hope you love this conversation! Sometimes the most nourishing thing we can do is stop. In this very different episode, I’m taking a short break from creating new meditations. After years of creating, giving and sharing, I’ve realised that I need some space to replenish and receive. So today, rather than a meditation, I’m reflecting on what happens when we give ourselves permission to put something down for a while - and why we don’t always need to know what comes next. And if you need some support while I’m away, my Nervous System First Aid Kit is there for you - a collection of short, practical audio resets for those moments when you feel overwhelmed, stressed, stuck in fight or flight, or simply need to come back to yourself. Take what you need. Rest when you can. And I’ll be back in a couple of weeks. ❤️ Much love Rosanne xx To find free resources and ways to work with me go to chakra-way.com Download your Nervous System First Aid Kit here To support the podcast and show your love please click here To join the Slow & Restore Retreat in St Andrews on 21st/22nd November please click here Or simply message me directly Hosted on Acast.
