With Q4 almost here, we wanted to share a few tips to help you attract potential brand partnerships as an influencer.
Tip #1: Revamp your Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Blog bio.
Your social media or webpage is your online resume. Your bio needs to include:
· Your name – It’s 2021 and we’re still seeing creators forget to put their name. Please include your name
· Your purpose, mission statement, or content pillars that you create content about
· Your location – City or State
· Your email address – your email address does not show up on desktop. If influencer and PR agencies are casting you for campaigns, they are most likely pulling up your Instagram page on desktop.
Tune in for the rest of the tips!

Today, we’re going to talk about 3 fears that might be holding you be back from asking to be paid as an influencer. We’re going to breakdown these fears and offer some advice on how reframe and overcome these fears as creators.
The first fear we want to talk about is: “I feel like the brand is going to ghost me if I’m asking for too much”
You guys recently shared with us that ONE of the most intimating parts of negotiating with a brand is the fear of getting ghosted if your rate is too high.
The second fear we want to challenge today is: “I can’t tell if I’m overcharging or undercharging”
One fear that we’ve heard influencers say repeatedly is, “I can’t tell if I’m overcharging or undercharging.” This statement might keep content creators from raising their rates.
Tune in to hear the rest of the fears and our tips to overcome them!

Today we’re discussing how we deal with judgement with being an influencer. Judgement can instigate fear and fear can keep you from creating content for your passions, sharing what you love, and expressing who you are. So we want to talk about dealing with judgment and not letting it stop you as a creator.
Tip #1: The most important opinion out there is your own opinion of yourself.
Tip #2: People will JUDGE you and have opinions – NO MATTER what you do, what you say, where you live, and what you wear.
Tip #3: Reflect on your goals
If you’re fearful of judgement, we recommend taking a step back and thinking about your goals for your brand, your business, and your career.
· What does it mean for you to have a happy, fulfilling career?
· What does balance look like to you?
· What does success look like to you?
· When do you feel good at work?

Today we’re sharing 4 questions to ask yourself to help find your niche. If you’re struggling to figure out what your niche should be for your TikTok, Instagram, blog, or YouTube channel, or podcast, this podcast episode is for you.
What is a niche? A niche is a specific topic or segment you create content around.
Why do you need a niche? People online are usually searching for specific things. Even if they’re just browsing on Pinterest or Reddit, they are scrolling with their interests in mind. While you may not appeal to everyone’s interest, if you have a specific niche, you may appeal to some.
Starting your blog, TikTok, YouTube or Instagram with a specific niche will help you clarify your point of view as well as help other people identify who you are and what you do.
Listen in to the 4 questions to help you find your niche.

Today we’re sharing the practice of pivoting. If you’re struggling with creating content online or you’re in a creative block, this podcast episode is for you. We continue the conversation about applying mindfulness to your creative passion and career and introduce the practice of pivoting.
The Process of Pivoting encourages us to:
· Experience the negative emotion
· Ask what is that we do want/Identify what we want
· And turn our attention to the thing that we want
You might not jump from feeling angry to feeling joyful, but you’ll start feeling a little bit better. More importantly, you start to practice to deliberately choose your own thoughts and tune into your emotions and intuition.

Today, we’re going to be sharing mindfulness practices to apply to your creative career or content creation side-hustle. If you’re looking for new ways to approach content creation and mindset shifts, this podcast episode is for you.
Before we jump into the four practices, we first want to define what mindfulness is.
The dictionary definition of Mindfulness is the quality or state of being conscious and aware about something. It can also be defined as being fully present or aware of where we are and what we’re doing.
Practice #1: Tell the story you want to experience – specifically to your creative career or business
Let’s talk about what it means to deliberately live your life, vs. living your life by default.
You always have the choice in life to take life as it comes and respond to what’s happening to you, OR, you start to tell your life story or creative career as how you want it to be.
You can acknowledge your past and discontinue the stories of how your life has been so you can focus on telling the story of how you want your life and career to be.
Tune in for the next 3 practices!

Before we jump into tips about overcoming imposter syndrome, we want to first define what imposter syndrome is.
According to Harvard Business Review, Imposter syndrome is:
Defined as a collection of feelings of inadequacy that persist despite evident success.
Those who experience imposter syndrome may experience:
· Chronic self-doubt
· A sense of intellectual fraudulence

Why is it important to recognize imposter syndrome as content creators and influencers?
· We might be getting in our own way of our growth and success. There’s enough to learn as a creators, there are enough challenges, there’s whole skillsets we have to develop. And sometimes, on top of all that, we might also be dealing with imposter syndrome.

We’re breaking down Content Creator Life Stages. So many influencers struggle and ask themselves what they should be focusing on when it comes to building their content creation career. The truth is, understanding what life stage you’re at can help you define your focus.
Content Creator Life Stage #1: Seed
As a seed, you’re a new influencer. You just started your TikTok, YouTube or Instagram.
Questions you might asking yourself as a seed asking:
· Who am I as a brand?
· How do I take photos or videos?
· Should I hire someone to take my photos?
· Am I a content creator?
· How do I post x, y, or z?
· How often do I post?
Content Creator Life Stage #2: Sprout
As a Sprout, you’re a new-ish influencer, but you’ve already started or established your social channel and platform like an Instagram, blog, or TikTok.
As a new-ish influencer, you understand the importance of hashtags and you’ve built up your audience. But you might be focused on learning the business side of the influencer industry.
Questions you might be asking as a Sprout:
· How do I deliver value?
· How do I build community and trust?
· How do I work with brands?
· How do I make money as an influencer?
Tune into the last two life stages!

Today, we’re sharing 3 quick tips for small businesses getting started with social media for the first time. If you’ve recently launched a business or your family business as tasked you with building up the social media presence, this mini-sode is for you.
Tip 1: Identify your business goals and then identify your social media marketing goals
One common mistake new businesses and small businesses make is that they look at social media and assume it’s going to equate to sales.
While social media can help you achieve your monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, posting on Instagram or Facebook does not result in overnight sales. TikTok videos can go viral and help drive store traffic, but you also can’t assume you’re going to go viral if you’re just getting started.
Tip 2: Start with one social media platform, then expand
If you’re brand new to social media, we recommend picking one platform and learning how that platform works BEFORE you jump to the next platform.
Each platform works differently and requires different skillsets. If you’re creating an Instagram page for the first time, we recommend getting familiar with:
· Taking and editing photos
· Recording stories
· Learning what hashtags are related to your business
· And following other companies in your niche to see what they’re doing and using the platform.
We also recommend setting up your profile – link your website, your email address, and have a profile picture that either features your logo or you.
