Today, we’re breaking down 4 main strategies to help you grow your Instagram audience. Usually, people look for quick tactics to grow on the app. But we’re going in depth to help you understand what helps you build your community on Instagram.
With over one billion users on Instagram, it can feel daunting and overwhelming to figure out how to establish and grow your brand on Instagram today.
But the truth is, it’s never too late to start and build your Instagram. We’re here to tell you that it’s 100% still possible to grow your Instagram audience in 2021.
The first strategy to help you grow your audience is to: Establish Brand Clarity.
If you’re looking to establish your brand identity for the first time, here are four simple questions to ask yourself:
· Who are you?
· What’s your mission statement?
· What are your content pillars or niches?
· And why should people follow you?
The second strategy to help you grow your audience is to: Cultivate an engaged community.
Building an engaged community is about creating relevant content for audience as well as taking the time to develop relationships with your audience.
When you produce relevant content, you’re creating photos, videos, stories, etc. that is aligned with your audience’s needs, motivations, questions, and pain points.

Have you ever felt stuck at a following number before? Us too! In today’s mini-sode we’re going to be sharing a few tips on shifting your perspective around feeling stuck. Just because you aren’t growing with a following number, doesn’t mean you aren’t growing.
Tip 1: Reflect on your GOALS.
One way to shift and pivot your mindset is to take a step back and reflect on your goals.
· Did you lay out a goal at the beginning of the year to expand and diversify your brand by X amount?
· Have you made it a goal to develop a new platform (like TikTok, Pinterest, or your own podcast)?
· How are you doing compared to your goal(s) so far?
It’s important to reflect on your goals because you might find that you are experiencing growth in other platforms and that your total audience size is actually growing.
Tip 2: Do a CONTENT AUDIT.
· Are you missing creating content for a specific niche or content pillar?
· Is your audience resonating with who are and what content you’re creating?
· Do you even know what type of content your audience is responding to?
Depending on your content audit findings, I’d recommend:
· Either clarifying your target audience or clarifying your content and your brand.
· Identifying what content works best for your audience and doubling down on that type of content.

Today, we’re going to talk about intrinsic vs. extrinsic motivation and 6 different motivation types. If you’re a content creator or influencer whose looking for more motivation in life, understanding how you’re motivated can help you.
INTRINSIC MOTIVATION:
According to American Psychology Association (APA), intrinsic motivations are linked to our feelings. It’s an incentive to engage or participate in an activity that derives from pleasure in the activity itself.
· You do things because it’s personally rewarding to you. You plan, pursue, and act on things because you see the benefits of your actions.
EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION:
According American Psychology Association (APA), you do things to either earn a reward or avoid a punishment. Your actions are driven by consequences.
· Example: Turning your homework in on time so you get a good grade and aren’t penalized for a late turn in.
The truth is we are all intrinsically and extrinsically motivated in the different aspects of our lives. Everyone is motivated differently and if you are trying to set goals and achieve them, it helps to know how to motivated yourself.
We share 6 motivation types in this conversation!
