Dan Price, Suicide Prevention, Mental Health and Wellness Speaker, Movember Ambassador, father of two and ultra runner, joined us for a conversation. We were privileged to have Dan share his story around mental health and the power that community and human connection hold to change your life.
Dan shares his journey through navigating high-school, professional life, relationships and beyond. We discuss people pleasing, setting boundaries and the importance of having a good support network. Dan draws parallels between the challenges we face in ultra running and our day to day and believes many of the lessons learnt on the trails have been valuable much beyond. We unpack the challenges of acting in opposition to the ego and finding the balance of training hard, saying yes and recovery for both the mind and body. If running is your outlet how can you ensure we don't over do it? We really dive deep in this ep and Dan shares some hard-hitting truths around his relationship with dedication and prioritising mental health.
This episode really highlights the capacity of movement as a vehicle to share vulnerability, which Dan is incredibly passionate about developing through the ultra running community. You can find out more about Dan on his instagram @danpricey1985 .
