My friends, it’s a special day. I’ve had it circled on the calendar for several months now. Back in July/August 2023, I had a “Reinvention Series” podcast series where I shared my story of back-pain and many of the trials and challenges I had overall a 3.5 year period. Well, welcome to my new series starting today called “THE ANNOUNCEMENT.”

Little did I know that this 3.5 year struggle through the pandemic, surgeries, back-pain, incredible stress, the sale of a portion of my business, and multiple setbacks would lead me to my next step… and it’s a BIG ONE…the start of a new fitness & coaching franchise. Yep. IMPACT-X Performance is a new franchise concept that I just launched that combines Fitness, Recovery, Life-Coaching, and Faith. Read that again. 

In Part 1 of today’s ANNOUNCEMENT SERIES, here is what I discuss…

• 3.5 years of adversity, trial, tribulations, and severe challenge have lead to this moment. 

• What is the ANNOUNCEMENT?

• My mission & vision of IMPACT-X Performance and WHY I’m so fired-up.

• Fitness. What makes it different?

• Recovery. Why put a dedicated “Recovery” area in IMPACT-X Performance (IXP) and what specifically is in it?

• Life-Coaching. We will call it “SUCCESS COACHING.” But in September, I started the TD IMPACT Life-Coaching Certification. I didn’t even know when it started that all this would happen. It really picked-up steam in October 2023. But the life-coaching is something ALL clients/members will have access to.

• FAITH. Whaaatt? Yep. Why I’m putting faith into one of our 4 core pillars. How am I going to fold-it into the offerings? Do you have to be of “faith” to train there or even have a location?

• My “cradle-to-grave” concept to help people go from college or certification to IMPACT-MAKER!

• Final Thoughts. Be a LIGHTHOUSE!!

I am so excited. I know that everything happens for a reason. And the pain, challenges, and setbacks that I faced over the a 3.5 year period have all lead to this moment. Buckle-up and today kicks off a several-week series of me going DEEP on all things “WHAT’s NEXT?”

My friends, I’ve been sharing for a few months that I had 3 big announcements. Today, I’m ready to make Announcement #2. I also have shared all 3 announcements are mutually exclusive and ALL of them are BIG.  My 1st big announcement I made was that I have a huge LIVE Summit in Los Angeles from July 11-14th. I’m requesting your presence there as it’s going to be one of the most powerful LIVE events I’ve ever done…and it’s definitely going to be incredibly inspirational and IMPACTFUL. TRUE STRENGTH is a book, almost a memoir if you will, that I’ve been working on intensely for 6-months now and it is DEEP. Like deeper than anything I’ve ever shared, let alone written. While the book is not slated to officially come out until mid June, I want to do 3 things today:

1. Share a snippet of the book with you. I’m too excited NOT to share!

2. Share my goals of the book with you. They are BIG.

3. Share that we have a book launch team forming right now and I want to invite you to be part of it. I would love for YOU to be part of it (Check out www.ToddDurkin.com to be part of it now)!

Here are the 5-goals of the TRUE STRENGTH book that I discuss in depth on today’s SHOW:

1. Change a lot of lives…including how many I’d like to reach.

1. If you are in a valley right now, keep going and don’t give-up. 

2. Quarterback your health. If you have something going on, seek the right health & medical team and spearhead the effort. 

3. Do what you do best…and hire the rest. I provide you specific examples of what I have done, and what I’m doing now to get some serious momentum going.

4. RISE TIDES and Level people UP. “The bigger your dream…the more important your team.” I share specifically what I’m doing now to raise people up on my team. 

5. To be even “bigger,” you must make BIG moves. The questions that I need to ask you include:

• What moves are you wanting to make?

• What do you want to create?

• What deeply inspires you? WHO is inspiring you to live at a level that is challenging you to live and play at your best?

• Be real…what’s holding you back?

• What do you need to do to overcome that?

Answer those questions…and make the moves that need to be made.

When my podcast started in 2018, I had a Top “10” list of guests I wanted on the IMPACT SHOW. And one of the people on that list was Robin Sharma. He was actually in my TOP 5. In Dec 2020, my great friend Joe Pangelinan was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer. Ten-months later, he came on the podcast (Ep. 219) and we recorded one of the deepest episodes to date called “Press the Flesh (Part 1).” Well, it was then that he also shared he would like to come back on the podcast in ONE YEAR with an update.

One of my favorite things I get to do a couple times a year is to share at chapel service for Pastor David Jeremiah at Christian Unified Schools in El Cajon, CA. I’m always honored to speak to the students and love connecting with them. Recently, not only did I have the opportunity to speak to them, I also had the honor to sign & handout over 700 of my “Get Your Mind Right” books to each of the students. That’s what I call IMPACT! 

This week’s podcast episode stems from the chapel I did for all the students that’s called “We are in a Crisis of Belief.” It stems from a tremendous devotional I’ve been reading called, “Experiencing God.” In it, one of the lessons is called the title of this week’s podcast as it really resonates. Here are the 5 main-points I share on today’s IMPACT SHOW podcast:

1. A Turning Point. When God tells me what He wants to do through me, I will face a crisis of belief. The way you live your life is a testimony to what you believe about God. And when God tells you what He wants to do through you, you will face a crisis of belief. 

2. Encounters with God Require Faith. Faith is confidence that what God has promised or said will come to pass. Obedience indicates faith in God. 

3. Encounters with God are God-Sized. Our world is not seeing God because we are not attempting anything that only God can do. Let the world watch God at work, and He will attract people to Himself. God is far more concerned with your walking with Him than He is interested in getting a job done for Him.

4. What You Do Reveals What You Believe. What you DO reveals what you believe about God, regardless of what you say. 

5. True Faith Requires Action. Faith without action is dead. God has planned something far better for people of faith than the world has to offer. Don’t grow weary in being faithful. A reward awaits faithful servants. Genuine faith is demonstrated by action.

It’s my birthday week. And I’m feeling rather nostalgic as I’m recording this up at 35,000 feet reflecting on life, 53-years of living, and the many lessons learned and the wisdom earned. So many things are running through my head but pure gratitude is overtaking my heart. So I decided to open up my recorder on the flight (IMPACT Airlines Flight 1010) and record you a special “Birthday Edition” podcast episode.  Buckle-up, recline your seat, sit-back, and relax as you listen in…OR get on your workout gear, put your grey hoodie on, drink some “monkey juice” and get ready for some HEAT today…either way, you are in for a real treat. 

I’m excited to share and discuss “21” nuggets plus some “And Then Some” on today’s Ep. 350 of the IMPACT SHOW. Here they are..

1. If you don’t celebrate the wins, the wins stop happening. 

2. You can only GO, as far as you GROW!

3. Your LIGHT can only shine out in the world as far as how bright your LIGHT shines at HOME.

11. TIME is all that matters…appreciate LIFE.

12. It takes RISK going to the next level. What risks are you willing to take to get you to where you want to go or in-order for you to step into your divine purpose?

13. Spend time beating FEAR.

14. If you’re broken, that’s how the LIGHT gets in.

15. Health is wealth…Energy is everything.

16. Writing is carthatic. 

17. The hardest exercise you will ever do is SILENCE. The heaviest weight at the gym is the front door. 

18. The power of a team. “The bigger your dream…the more important your team.”

19. DREAMS empower you and give you LIFE. But you MUST reverse-engineer your dreams into strategic action steps.

20. Ultimately, you must TAKE ACTION…NOW!!!

21. Life a Life Worth Telling a Story About…What’s Your Story?! Shine Your Light. #BeALighthouse
