Jackson talks with Two of Australia's sharpest hybrid athletes in episode 86 of the Trainhybrd Podcast
Dexter Buchanan has just qualified for the HYROX World Championships in Stockholm after a 57:12 second place at APAC Regionals, and he sits down with Chris Woolley, sub-60 Pro solo athlete, full-time firefighter, head coach of HYBRID at Chocolate Box Training, and the guy who just announced his retirement from elite racing.
The two of them paired up at APAC for second in the Elite Doubles and set the 35-39 doubles world best at 49:40 in Melbourne back in December.
We get into doubles chemistry, Dexter's low-volume thesis (the coaching floor is the secret training tool no one talks about), training around a newborn, what it looks like to walk away from the sport at the top while your training partner is still climbing, and the road to Stockholm. Plus a full audience Q&A and the usual quick-fire close.
