L: Hi honey! How was your day? Hi，亲爱的！你今天怎么样啊？

D: Not so good. I lost a couple of customers today. I hope your day was better. 不怎么好。今天我丢掉了几个客户。我希望你今天过的比我好多。

L: Oh you know. Same old, same old. Nothing new ever happens around here. I’m sorry to hear about your business. 哦，你知道的。老样子。没什么新鲜的事发生。

D: No worries. I’ll get a couple more tomorrow!别担心，明天我就会再得到些新的顾客。

D: Not much. We’ve had a slow couple of weeks. Anyway, it’s good to have you back. 没什么。这几周感觉进度颇慢。不过，很高兴你归队啦！

和老外吃饭，谁该买单？Who should pay? 

先说好：Let’s go Dutch. 我们AA吧It’s on me. 我请客。
为了避免误会：（还有国内有些习惯是要先买单，外国人不了）
你先埋了单，和对方要钱时可以怎么说？- Can we split the bill?- Can we go half-half? Can we go 50-50?
对方先买单，为了表示礼貌，可以这么说？- How much do I owe（欠） you?
对方请你客 你可以说－Let me buy you coffee/dessert（甜点）/an ice-cream later.
老外也是人，将心比心，不要因为别人是外来客就迁就对方，也无需有不同的期待而感觉不舒服。
