Last year I attended Adyashanti's 5 day silent retreat, which is similar to a Vipassana retreat. Vipassana means “to see things as they really are.” I took a vow of noble silence and practiced deep stillness each day. I soon began to feel and experience many of the things that have ALWAYS been surrounding and supporting me. It was a life-changing experience.
During this quarantine season, I felt it was an opportune time to revisit the magic I experienced back then and do my very first Dieta. For 4 1/2 days, I unplugged from technology, focused on a more plant-based diet, settled into my journaling practice, communed with my altar and most importantly, spent intentional time with nature. My intention was to attune to my being and the essence of allowing/surrendering by connecting with the divine feminine that is nature.
Again, magical experience. And one I took this episode of the podcast to tell you more about in hopes that you may find unique ways to introduce more silence and surrender into your experience of life!
In this episode, I share...
→ The constant work that is simply, surrendering.
→ Why sometimes it’s best to “weed the garden” vs implementing new practices.
→ How doing a Dieta and unplugging allowed me to tune into the gifts that surround me daily.
→ The importance of getting clear on our intentions with all things in life.
→ Surrendering and accepting our experiences vs letting our ego drive our experience.
