Today's guest, Dr. Anastasiya Ovechkin, is here to address both the physical and emotional factors that affect (and improve!) our sleep health. We hope this conversation will help you feel less alone when it comes to struggling with sleep, and to learn practical tips and strategies to improve sleep hygiene and quality - going beyond the typical sleep advice you might here out there. By gaining insight into how emotional and trauma-related factors can significantly impact your sleep, we hope that you'll be inspired to take a more holistic, personalized approach to improve your sleep health, rather than just relying on quick fixes.
Sleep is not a one-size-fits-all solution, and requires addressing the Whole Person - physically, emotionally, and energetically.
Meet Dr. Anastasiya Ovechkin:
I'm Dr. Anastasiya Ovechkin, and my journey is one of resilience, healing, and unwavering dedication to women's health. From a young age, I battled debilitating migraines, endometriosis, and severe anxiety and depression. I endured almost a decade of misdiagnoses, self-advocacy, and unimaginable trauma, including rape and suicide attempts. These experiences shaped not just my life but my entire approach to health and wellness. As an osteopath, business owner, and coach, I bring a unique and deeply personal perspective to the field of women's health. My story isn't just about surviving—it's about thriving against all odds. I know firsthand the struggles that many women face but few dare to discuss openly. I've walked the difficult path of chronic pain and mental health challenges, and through perseverance, I've emerged stronger, determined to use my experiences to empower others. In my practice, I don't just treat symptoms; I connect with my clients on a profound level. My personal journey has taught me the importance of a holistic approach to healing—one that addresses not just the physical, but also the emotional and psychological aspects of health. I strive to create a space where women feel seen, heard, and validated because I know how crucial that is to true healing. My mission goes beyond my practice. I'm passionate about breaking the silence around women's health issues and creating a platform where women can share their stories and find strength in each other. I want every woman to know that she is not alone, that her pain is real, and that with the right support, healing is possible. I aim to inspire and empower listeners by sharing my story and the insights I've gained from my personal and professional experiences. I offer not just hope, but practical advice on navigating the complexities of chronic pain, mental health, and the journey to recovery. My message is one of strength, self-advocacy, and the belief that every woman deserves to live her best life, free from the shadows of pain and trauma.
