Is good sleep really needed? Well of course! Just like your cell phone, it won’t be able to function properly if you don’t give time for it to charge. The same goes for your body. Lack of good sleep directly impacts your body and your weight loss journey.
Dr. Raina Gupta, Board Certified Neurologist and Fellowship trained Board Certified Sleep Medicine Specialist, shares with us in this episode the relationship between sleep and obesity. You’ll be surprised to know that losing sleep while dieting can actually reduce the amount of weight that you lose. When you don’t have good rest, you’ll be irritated, agitated, and your appetite will increase.
Passionate about neurology and sleep medicine, Dr. Gupta has helped patients with neurological and sleep disorders. She has educated her patients on the importance of optimizing their sleep and now, she’s here to educate us on the same topic.
Lack of good sleep can lead to a lack of a healthy body, so always remember to rest! It is as important as work.
