Larissa started #HalfTheStory in college, after facing her own struggles with social media and almost taking her own life. As of this coming October, Larissa will have been working towards this cause for 10 years. In the past year, she has worked on the policy front to help pass multiple Bills to help protect our youth, joined Oprah in a conversation about teens and mental health, spoke at Davos to get the voices of our teens in front of some of the most influential leaders, and this month, kicked off the first-ever Digital Civics Academy, a program co-designed by youth, for youth that offers hands-on advocacy and organizational opportunities, equipping the next generation of activists with the skills to influence policies shaping the digital future.
