  • One year after November attacks, life in Paris gradually returns to normal
This Sunday will mark one year since the terror attacks that killed 130 people in Paris, the worst atrocity since World War II. 90 of those victims were attending a gig at the Bataclan concert hall. After a complete refurbishment, the venue is now set to re-open its doors, kicking off with a concert by rock star Sting on Saturday night. FRANCE 24's Julien Sauvaget and Jessica Sestili spoke to Parisians in the area to see how their lives have changed over the past year. A programme prepared by Jessica Sestili and Elom Marcel Toble

  • Colorado's ever-shifting electorate
Few states have gone through more rapid political changes than Colorado. Although historically a bastion of the Republicans, the state has voted in favour of the Democrats in the past two presidential elections. It's a coveted swing state where voting intentions keep on changing. The state’s growing Hispanic community and the increase of young and educated people have contributed to the shift in Colorado’s voting patterns. As a result, Colorado has one of the youngest and most educated electorate in the country. From Colorado's increasingly pro-Liberal capital city Denver, and campuses where so-called "outsider" candidates enjoy significant support, to rural areas where conservative values remain deeply ingrained: Let's take a tour of a state which symbolises the diversity of America's electorate. View the report by our correspondents Valérie Defert, Loïc Pialat and Naibe Reynoso

It's almost a year since coordinated Islamist terror attacks in Paris left 130 people dead. Questions remain about how France is preparing to deal with another potential mass attack. The interior ministry has started work that it says will streamline cooperation between the elite police units which respond to such events. Our reporters spent time with one of those units, which was called out in July when two terrorists took hostages at a church in Normandy and murdered an elderly priest.

Our correspondents in Berlin have been finding out more. A programme prepared by Patrick Lovett, Elom Marcel Toble and Claire Pryde.

In this edition we head to Iraq, where the operation to retake Mosul from the Islamic State group is well under way. Those fighting to liberate the country's second city include the regular army, the Kurdish peshmerga, and a broader US-led coalition providing air support. However our colleagues at France 2 met with another group taking part in the operation: civilian medics from the US who have travelled to Iraq at their own expense to help with the war effort. A programme prepared by Patrick Lovett and Elom Marcel Toble.

The fees are seen as prohibitive for many poor, particularly black, students. A programme prepared by Patrick Lovett, Laura Burloux and Claire Pryde.
