It seems that many of the cycling pros we interview, start their career in cycling after a running injury. For Maude Farrell, while she used to be an ultra runner, she has ALWAYS been riding a bike. This week, we are airing an interview we recorded a couple of months ago with Maude Farrell just before the murder of her close friend. To pay respect to the families and friends of Mo Wilson, and to leave space for their grief, we decided to postpone this airdate.
Kathryn and Kristi ask Maude about her experience as a cycling pro and how she evolved into this space and culture. Maude shares about her past in Ultrarunning and especially, her race in the Barkley Marathons. She shares some true pro-wisdom - recognizing that women often feel a responsibility to be "humble" and belittle their accomplishments. Instead, let's own our wins, be proud, and show the world how truly badass we are.
