Amie had been married for 18 years before she came to understand why her marriage was falling apart. Her ex-husband's addictions and abuse had caused enough damage, it was time to heal. During her healing process she wanted to understand more, not only about betrayal trauma but about pornography addiction itself. This led to a passionate search for knowledge and truth surrounding this plague. Her search led her to Life Changing Services where she immediately knew she had to be a part of this company and this important work.
Under the direction of Alana Gordon she wrote the WORTH-YSA course for single women and is passionate about helping to educate and empower women in this day where the rules of dating has changed due to the pervasive nature of pornography. She has seen so much value in learning tools and gaining understanding that allows women to make better choices for themselves and gain a sense of greater individual worth.
She is life coach, a betrayal trauma coach and a WORTH group mentor for both Life Changing Services and Choose Recovery Services. She is passionate about helping women find hope and healing through their own journey.

Clinician Kimberly Day is back with a webinar on abuse addressing listener questions.
There is a common disbelief that if a spouse is not a monster then we must not be dealing with abusive behavior. Kim helps us understand how to view the abusive behavior to evaluate the impact, interaction, and intent of a spouse.
We discuss the following questions and more:
Now that we can recognize these behaviors what do we do with this information?
How do we not accept the abusive messages or behavior and not internalize those messages?
If you have questions for future episodes for this mini series on abuse please email us at: [email protected]

It's not about having the best filters or filling their head with information.
It's about capturing the heart and minds of those we love that will break the cycle of addiction for future generations.
This episode was inspired by a listener question:
Knowing what we know now and what we have faced, how can we help educate others and break the cycle for future generations?
We reached out to Kristen A. Jenson, author of Good Pictures Bad Pictures; Porn Proofing Today’s Young, and Good Pictures Bad Pictures Jr. and founder of ProtectYoungMinds.org to engage in a conversation about our listener’s question.
Here is a link to Kristen's website www.ProtectYoungMinds.org for more information and FREE parenting guides to help parents and other caring adults protect kids from pornography’s influence.

Gaslighting is a response to stress; people become either gaslighters or gaslightees when they feel threatened.
Are you stuck in the Gaslight Tango? In all likelihood, both of you have Gaslight Triggers, situations that start you dancing.
In this episode we discuss the last 3 ways to turn off the gas:
These five points come from the book The Gaslighting Effect: How to Spot and Survive the Hidden Manipulation Others Use to Control Your Life by Dr. Robin Stern We would love to hear your thoughts on this topic and any questions you may have. This bonus episode is from a class taught by various members in WORTH. The class we have chosen to share with you today on Therapeutic Disclosures is taught by our director Alana Gordon along with her husband Luke. We wanted to give you a sample of one of the great resources we have in WORTH for our members. The audio has been edited to protect the privacy of all participants of the class. Alana and her husband Luke discuss the purpose of a full therapeutic disclosure, weighing the pros and cons and walk us through the process.
Disclosures can give us the informed decision to choose to stay in a relationship. The disclosure process has been shown to be beneficial to the majority of people, but each person should come in with their idea of why they're doing the disclosure and how it can be helpful to the relationship.
