  • Finding the Right D/s Partner for You LB023
Kayla Lords hosts episode 23 and discusses a topic on the mind of most single kinky people: how do I find the right Dominant or submissive for me?
    In this episode:

    * Sponsorships are available for the show. Contact Kayla directly for details.
    * As with most episodes, this came from real conversations she’s had with fellow kinksters.
    * There is no step-by-step list on how to pick the perfect partner in a kinky relationship.
    * Some people start on specific websites: Fetlife, CollarMe, Adult Friend Finder – and they keep finding only duds.
    * Instead of looking someone who uses the label you prefer (Daddy, babygirl, kitten, etc.), look for a person you have a genuine connection with.
    * Two schools of thought: find the person without knowing their kinky preferences or look for people who identify as kinky. Kayla prefers to look among people who already know they’re kinky.
    * Only choosing based on the title or label someone uses for themselves eliminates potentially great partners.
    * You might miss out on people who have something new to teach you.
    * Instead of finding the person to fit your ideal relationship dynamic, find the relationship dynamic that fits you and the person you have a connection with.
    * The right person could bring out parts of yourself you didn’t even know existed.
    * Kayla shares the differences between her first D/s relationship and the one she has with John Brownstone.
    * The Daddy/babygirl dynamic wasn’t even a consideration when John and Kayla first met. They grew into it together.
    * Try not to be too rigid in what you think you want or the kind of kinkster you think you’ll always be. People and situations change.
    * When you begin discussing your kinks – once you figure out if there’s a real connection – you might be surprised at what you learn, about them and yourself.
    * A healthy D/s relationship and the ability to find the dynamic that works best for you requires trust.
    * When you connect with someone on a deep level, you can be vulnerable with them. You never know what will come of that.
    * Kayla describes how she found her babygirl side and how their dynamic shifted.
    * Forget the labels we give ourselves and focus on the person. Be with a person who makes you feel all kinds of good things.

  • The Importance of Having Kinky Friends LB022
In episode 22, Kayla discusses a recent visit from a few of her kinky friends and a few realizations she had as to the importance of having friends in the BDSM lifestyle.
    In this episode:

    * Kinky friends came to visit!
    * The ideal visit between you and the online friends you make is one where that online ease continues into real life.
    * Always listen to your instinct if you get a bad vibe, but most people are as nervous as you are about meeting other kinksters.
    * Making kinky friends is a good thing.
    * These friendships remind you that you’re not alone.
    * You’ll learn how other people handle their kinky side.
    * Kayla and John took their kinky friends on a few fieldtrips – first to the munch, then to the club. That’s probably not typical of other times you make new kinky friends or meet them in real life for the first time.
    * Kayla experienced a revelation of her own watching her kinky friends interact in her home.
    * Not reaching out to your online or in-person kinky community can make you feel isolated.
    * You might even forget that other people do BDSM and specifically D/s different than you do.
    * Feel free to leave your tales of making and meeting kinky friends in the comments or contact Kayla directly.

So, I’ll admit it, it’s another low energy week for me. I have a cold I just can’t shake, and it suuuuuuucks. It’s this Florida weather, one moment we’re in the 70s, the next, it’s 30-something degrees outside. And yes, I know some of you would kill for that kind of weather. Well, come on down to sunny Florida.
John Brownstone and I had friends visit from out of town this past week. Kinky friends. They’re not used to our weather so while Daddy and I were wearing jeans and considering throwing on a jacket, they were loving it and wearing their shorts. They even got to meet our state bird – the mosquito.
Their visit – and no, I’m not saying who, but I think they might be listening, so hey there! Miss you! Ready to visit again soon! Anyway…their visit was a good thing on a lot of levels.
It’s almost always good to meet someone in real life that you’ve known online. It gives you the opportunity to put faces with names and to get to know them. Will they be like their online persona? Will they be completely different? Will you have anything to talk about other than kink?
I consider it a good visit when the friendship you build online translates well when you’re live and in person. Oh, and for the record, while there was plenty of talk about kink, there were also conversations about dogs, kids, travel, and work. And we ate a lot of good food.
I know a lot of people worry about giving up their anonymity and meeting other kinksters in real life.

  • Being D/s During Cold and Flu Season LB021
Kayla Lords hosts this week’s episode and, through her stuffy nose and achy body, she discusses how Dominants and submissives should handle their D/s relationship during cold and flu season.
    In this episode:

    * This week’s sponsor is Knki App – a BDSM dating and kinky social media app that allows kinksters to find each other to date, chat, or just be friends.
    * Submissives and Dominants will get sick – it’s a fact of life.
    * Submissives need to take care of themselves, ask for help, and not freak out that they can’t maintain their normal routine while they’re sick.
    * When your Dominant gets sick, get a little bossy (in a respectful way) to help them get better and ask before you do with any task that directly affects your Dominant.
    * Dominants should feel free to exert their typical control in the name of helping their submissive get better – order them to take medicine, take a nap, or sit still for a bit.
    * When a Dominant gets sick, the best thing you can do for yourself and your submissive is to let yourself be taken care of and take your medicine (no matter how awful it tastes).

  • Don’t Put Your Dominant on a Pedestal LB020
Kayla Lords hosts this week’s show, and she’s discussing the very real truth that Dominants are (gasp!) not perfect, prone to normal human flaws, and shouldn’t be put up on a pedestal by submissives – no matter how great a Dominant they may be.
    In this episode:

    * Kayla was reminded just how perfectly imperfect John Brownstone is and shares her silly teasing.
    * Dominants are people and will do things that don’t always seem “Dominant” – very vanilla, normal things.
    * John Brownstone is an amazing man and Dominant, but he’s not perfect.
    * When a submissive puts their Dominant up on a pedestal and believes they can do no wrong, the only place for a Dominant to go is down.
    * One problem with pedestals is that submissives are devastated the first time their Dominant makes a big mistake, thinking that somehow their Dominant is “less than perfect” for the first time.
    * The second problem is that some submissives will allow the uneducated or the really bad Dominants to get away with bad behavior because they (falsely) believe their Dominants can do no wrong.
    * Kayla has three tips for preventing the pedestal situation: time and experience, communication (and lots of it), and plenty of humor. Learn to laugh at their very human frailties.
    * John Brownstone is the perfect Dominant for Kayla without the need for a pedestal, even with the mistakes, oops, and uh-ohs in their relationship. A good Dominant can be perfect for you without being a perfect person.

I have a confession to make. I told John Brownstone, my sweet and sadistic Daddy, that sometimes he was more vanilla than a vanilla bean.
I thought it was funny. I think he was a little horrified. Okay, it was really freaking funny.
He’d done what I consider a stereotypically man thing. He’d let his attention wander while we were talking, and when I asked him a question in course of the conversation, all I got back was a “Huh?”
If this happened on a more regular basis, I’d probably be annoyed by it. But it made me laugh because it was so stereotypical and a little unlike him. Only a little.
It was also a good reminder that no matter how kinky we are or we want to be, some things prevail.

  • Make Your Kinky New Year’s Resolutions LB019
Kayla Lords and John Brownstone host a special New Year’s Day episode dedicated to kinky resolutions – from silly to serious.
    In this show:

    * Kayla shares her resolution ideas for submissives.
    * John shares his resolution ideas for Dominants.
    * Dominants: Try not to laugh too hard when your submissive squeals when you pinch, smack, or spank them.
    * Submissives: Try not to wiggle your ass, wink, and ask your Dominant, “Is that all you’ve got?”
    * Dominants: Practice your toy technique more so you don’t rusty or tired in the middle of play.
    * Submissives: Expand your limits a little.
    * Dominants: Mind fuck your submissive with soft, gentle touches when they’re expecting harder, rougher stuff.
    * Submissives: Go to a local munch this year.
    * Dominants: Make more time to sit and listen to your submissive.
    * Submissives: Learn to speak up more often, especially when things aren’t great.
    * Dominants: Stop thinking you have to be good at kink and D/s every moment.
    * Submissives: Stop trying to be perfect and feeling like a failure when you aren’t.
    * A personal resolution from John Brownstone is to get back to kinky fun and play and try new things this year.
    * Kayla’s final resolution: Do the thing that makes you most nervous – let your babygirl/boy side out, try a new sex act, experiment with your Dominant side, whatever it is, do it in 2016.

    Happy New Year’s! Let’s kick 2016’s ass!

We don’t party on New Year’s Eve and we rarely make resolutions. Personally, I like to set new goals, which can be treated like resolutions, but they’re a little different. For those of you who use the first day of the new year to find a way to start over, make changes, or add something new to your life, we’d like to present our wild, wacky, and only partially serious kinky New Year’s resolutions for your consideration.
I’ll share resolutions for submissives, and Daddy will share for the Dominants. Take these as seriously or as lightly as you like, and if anyone actually makes one of these your resolution, please let us know!
Okay, here we go. Daddy, you first…
JB: Ok, first resolution for Dominants: Try not to laugh too hard when your submissive squeals when you pinch, smack, or spank them.
K: Can’t y’all just resolve not to do it as evilly as you do? Either the laughing or the pinching?
Okay, submissives, for you – try not to wiggle your ass, wink, and then say, “Is that all you’ve got?”
JB: Aw, where’s the fun in that?
Doms: Resolve to practice your toy technique so you don’t get rusty or tired in the middle of play.
K: I can get behind that one. Subs, resolve to expand your limits and boundaries a little. No doubt your Dominant is probably helping with this. Instead of screeching, squealing, or hiding in the corner, take a deep breath, talk it out,

This is a quick show today because, well, it’s a freaking holiday, and if anyone is even listening today, I absolutely love you for it!
I’m going to make a confession. I can’t carry a tune in a bucket. I love, love, love music. I love to sing. I’ll dance, hum, and tra-la-la with the best of them. But it’s not something anyone else really wants to witness.
On the other hand, Daddy has a decent voice and is pretty creative, so when I shared my thought for today, he was completely on board.
It started when I got the song, “Have yourself a merry little Christmas” stuck in my head. Except, being the pervy girl I am, that’s not exactly what I was singing.
    Instead it was…
“Have yourself a kinky little Christmas…”
And an idea was born. What if some of our holiday favorites were re-imagined for the kinky among us? What would that sound like?
Have yourself a merry little Christmas becomes…
JB: Have yourself a kinky little Christmas. May your ass glow red.
K: And you may remember the song Last Christmas a little differently…
JB: Last Christmas I reddened your ass. The very next day, it faded away.
    K: What about Jingle Bells?
JB: Nipple clamps. Nipple clamps. Tug and pull and play.
K: Hmmm, what if instead of Little Drummer Boy, we had…
JB: Maybe it could be Kinky Submissive Boy?
    Come, I told him.
    Pa rum pum pum pum.
A nice hard cock I see
    Pa rum pum pum pum
K: OMG, we might be going to hell for that one! One of my favorite Christmas songs used to be “All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth.”
    JB: Or do you mean…
All I want for Christmas is to suck his cock. Suck his cock. Just to suck his cock.
K: I won’t complain about that as a Christmas present.
Okay, I think we’ve had enough fun for today, don’t you, Daddy?
Even though next Friday is New Year’s Day, and we’ll be speeding down the highway coming back from our vacation, we will still have an episode. Next week will be all about kinky resolutions you can make for the coming year.
Keep it kinky, y’all, and we’ll see you next week!
