How to Detect Red Flags in a Relationship
It is estimated 158 million people in the U.S. are affected by narcissistic abuse, and an estimated 6 percent have narcissistic personality disorder. The numbers are staggering, and it’s likely either you know someone who has the characteristics of NPD, and may be suffering from the implications of the disorder.
One day it becomes clear. We can see through it all like we never were able to before. We see the manipulation, the lies, the triangulation, gas-lighting and the deliberate ways the narcissist will twist conversations, events, stories to suit their need for narcissistic supply. Clear as day. We see it and the fog has lifted.

Self-doubt doesn’t arrive all at once—it creeps in slowly. A tone of voice, a dismissive glance, a subtle accusation. Over time, it becomes a habit: second-guessing your instincts, minimizing your goals, and explaining yourself when no explanation is needed.
In this episode of the Narcissistic Abuse Recovery podcast, we explore how narcissists deliberately create an atmosphere of self-doubt to maintain control. When you begin to question your own worth, your decisions, and your potential, it becomes easier for them to manipulate, diminish, and keep you emotionally dependent.
We examine:
This episode is for anyone who’s ever talked themselves out of something they once believed in, or who’s felt the quiet erosion of self-trust after repeated emotional invalidation. If you’ve ever wondered, “Was it really that bad?” or “Maybe it’s just me,” this conversation will help you name what’s been happening—and why it’s not your fault.
