  • Lisa Snowdon - Just Getting Started
In this episode I chat to the utterly fabulous model, broadcaster and author Lisa Snowdon.

Lisa has just written her first book "Just Getting Started: Lessons in Life, Love and Menopause" and having cried, laughed and done much nodding along as I read it, I couldn't wait to get Lisa in the studio to grill her about it.

During the episode Lisa and I talk about:

-Some of the traumas that she has experienced in her life, including abusive relationships and has she has moved on from them.

-How perimenopause affected Lisa and why finally seeking the right help changed everything for the better.
-Embracing life and just getting started after the menopause
    -Finding the right partner
-How to look after yourself in perimenopause and beyond
    -Becoming an author

This was a very emotional interview in places and I'm so grateful to Lisa for opening up to me like she did. This is something that she also does in her book and I know that it can't be easy when you are in the public eye like she is. Lisa has done it to help others and I respect that so much.

Just Getting Started is an absolute must read. I have highlighted so many parts of the book. It's absolutely brimming with advice about menopause and general health. It's also Lisa's story and she tells it in the most honest and authentic way.

You can get a copy from all good bookshops as well as here on Amazon.

I know that you're going to get so much out of this episode. Enjoy it Outspoken Beauties x

  • Candice Quinn - Are Our Manicures Safe?
In this episode I chat to Candice Quinn who is the founder of Manisafe (the company that has brought those brilliant UV fingerless gloves to the UK).
Candice and I have a really interesting conversation about the gel manicures that so many of us are addicted to and why there is increasing evidence that they may come with risks to our skin.
Candice and I chat about the research and evidence in a balanced way (I am not one to encourage scaremongering as you know) and then she explains how she has come up with the perfect solution.
Candice is a great guest. She really knows her stuff and is also a truly inspiring entrpreneur.

  • Sarah Ann Macklin - Live Well and Be Well

In this episode I speak to Sarah Ann Macklin, the woman who has been hailed "The Jamie Oliver of the nutrition world".

Sarah Ann was scouted as a model when she was a teenager (at a Blue concert). She was soon plunged into the crazy world of modelling which eventually led her to become so ill that she was hospitalised.

Fast forward to today and she has totally changed her life and has become one of the UK's most sought after nutritionists.

During the episode we talk about her journey and she gives really brilliant advice about the little and simple things that we can do to make a marked difference to our health.

You can find out more about Sarah at her website sarahannmacklin.com and also check out her Be Well Collective that helps support and give advice to young models. She also hosts the podcast Live Well Be Well.

We also talk about the Fragrance Awards, Duncan from Blue's performance and why a few too many flowers went missing on the night.

Later on we chat about our beauty picks which leads to a most excellent conversation about vibrators.

This episode is partly supported by Silvina London

In this episode I meet the utterly fabulous model, actress and brand founder Silvina Neder.

Silvina's stunning grey hair also inspired her to start her own haircare brand called Silvina London. Her hair products have been formulated to make grey hair bouncy, shiny and never brassy.

It's The Eve Appeal's Get Lippy Day and in this episode I'm getting lippy with Dr Bella Smith and comedian and Eve Appeal ambassador Karen Hobbs.

Karen tells her story. She was diagnosed with cervical cancer in her 20's and is very open about her story. (She's also one of the funniest women I know).

This is such an important and informative episode.

  • Sophie Hannah - The New No Rules Beauty Bible
In this episode I welcome the incredibly creative Sophie Hannah. Sophie is a content creator who is loved for her individual style and inspiring hair, makeup and fashion looks which are always full of colour, flair and individuality.

Sophie has just written a book called Beauty, Hair, Style - The New No Rules Beauty Bible and I absolutely love the premise of the book which is basically to express yourself however you want to....in fact the more daring and flamboyant the better.

During the episode we chat about how Sophie got into this world and taught herself how to create technically brilliant looks without any training. We also have a great discussion about never being too old to express yourself, how to maintain good mental health, positive thinking and the good and bad sides of social media and the beauty industry. Sophie also has some wonderful product recommendations and skincare tips.

Sophie Hannah is so talented yet down to Earth and I absolutely loved getting to know her.
