Ever look at a city, suburb or even a workplace and realise that little by little, over time has lead to massive change. Bobby and I talking about the influence of small changes shifting and influencing an environment. What is at the heart of resistance to change, what’s the effect of stress in an environment and how can we understand the role of safely, honesty and trust when it comes to embracing change.

Conversations are life changing. It’s why I’ve created the space to invest so much of my time having them and producing them for the world to listen to. Sure we need to take action and get things moving, but I’m just not convinced most people understand the profound effect that a single conversation can have on us and how much it changes us. After my recent conversation with Dr. Jodi Richardson (ep650) she left us with a super valuable strategy for putting some space between us and our thoughts. Not only did I LOVE this, but the very next morning I noticed myself unintentionally put it into action. What an amazing privilege. I’m sharing this experience in this episode, I hope you can find it as useful as I did.

The godfather of personal health and epigenetics is back with me today and the question we are unpacking is ‘What’s Killing You At Work?’
It begs the question around how often work cops the brunt of blame when other factors are pushing our buttons. It also reflects the often discussed and extremely valuable awareness around the idea that ‘your intention is not necessarily their experience’.
How do your work interactions actually feed your brain chemistry? Which outside factors are creating stress, uncertainty and sensitivity in the workplace? What is the cost of suppressing discomfort?
We shine a light on leadership, social nourishment, routines & schedules, love languages, sleep requirements and the nuances of our sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.
This is another must-listen conversation!

Anxiety, we ALL experience it. Every single day, in fact. And thank goodness for that, as it is a message and a barometer signaling when things in our environment or experiences aren't quite right. However, it's a continuum and sometimes anxiety can be prolonged and become chronic. Or sometimes, like Dr. Jodi, some of us can experience anxiety disorders despite having no circumstances or experiences to warrant such. Dr. Jodi recalls experiencing anxiety from a young as 4, although it wasn't until her mid 20's after getting diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, that she began to better understand and manage her mental health experiences.
Now between sharing a LOVE for martial arts along with chocolate and cookies, I've successfully landed myself another bestie in Dr. Jodi. We could have talk for hours and I'm certain this won't be her last appearance on the show. This particular conversation is full of insight along with practical and valuable advice around anxiety, depression and mental health.

Well, this episode is SUPER special to me. John Verbi is not only a very good friend, but a great human and a spectacular representation of strength, love and generosity. This last 8-9 months however, life has well and truly thrown him the gauntlet.
In early December 2022 John suffered the unfathomable devastation of losing his son Tim in a tragic accident at home, an experience no father should have to go through. The impact of the grief and sadness pressed a very short pause on a surgery John had scheduled in early 2023. Surgery for John to donate his kidney, a promise made over a couple of beers a few years before (as you do).
Being well under a year since all this took place, I really wasn't sure how much of John's experience he might want to share on this day. Courageously (and at times, as is John's way, jovially) he shared much detail around his process of understanding, managing and juggling both the emotional and physical recovery.
This conversation is a gift, an inspiration and an insight into one wonderful human's recent battles.

This week Bobby is in the middle of a hell of a time where he needs to maintain high performance but many of the parameters of what allows us to do this are getting squeezed. Minimal down-time, excessive travel, high expectations, altered sleep… essentially an acute period of chronic stress (can I say acute and chronic in the same scenario). So what a great opportunity to discuss how to manage these inevitable times. We talk about what levers we can pull to keep us sane and how to ensure that an acute period doesn’t turn into our normal operating system. I think this is a super practical and valuable conversation, enjoy!

Change. We’re always in the middle of it in some form, either consciously or unconsciously.. the world and life and influencing, programming and essentially changing us. Sometimes we wake up and decide that we’ve had enough of some part of our current operating system, circumstance, behaviour or results and we decide it’s time to change. But change is hard and sometimes it can feel like years go by and we’re still talking about making that same change. We can get sick of ourselves and frustrated by the lack of progress. Today I’m riffing on five aspects of change that we can reflect on to get a better result, I hope you find it useful.

The amazingly articulate and resilient superstar Ashleigh Webb is back not only to chat with us on the show, but she's back from SUCCESSFULLY swimming the English Channel and raising $25,000 for the Kallan Lodge Foundation in aid of mental health and suicide awareness and support.
In this episode we dive in (see what I did there) to hearing about what it's actually like to take on such a pledge, land in France, face ridiculously cold water in pitch black dark conditions, swim with jellyfish in your undies for 90 minutes (true story) and even do yourself a hell of an injury by unexpectedly power-chucking underwater... Sounds like a real treat huh? Well, if you didn't respect this human before then you sure will after hearing this!

Sarah Elkhaldy, known as The Alchemist, joins me today for a chat about all things metaphysics, spirituality and esoteric wisdom. Sarah is a mystic and a spiritual teacher who is highly claircognizant and so of course I'm excited to tap into her knowledge and insights around what, for me (and perhaps you), can be quite foreign concepts. We talk about shadow work and healing, manifestation and intuition, times of awakening and spiritual self-inquiry and wading through our unconscious debris.
I'm definitely still running my spiritual 'L' Plates when it comes to these conversations, I hope you love them as much as I do!

On September 23, 2014 Officer B and his colleague, Officer A, attended outside of the Endeavour Hills Police Station to speak with Numan Haider. A young man who due to rapid radicalisation within months was influenced by and prepared to kill and die for Isis.
12 seconds was all it took to leave both officers bearing stab wounds and Numan Haider shot dead by Officer A. Officer B joins me today to recount not only those 12 vivid seconds, but also the events leading up to the encounter along with the mental and emotional recovery left in it's wake.
This conversation really opened my eyes to the reality behind what flashes up on our news channels... humans are impacted, lives are changed, and the ripple effect is heartbreaking.
